I was trying to enlarge the font as some have suggested I do, but I can't find the "font button". I had a totally fun day. It was my first real day out; I want to the Craft Center at UMass. It was cool to see Paula, the director of the Center, who I've known forever. I'm calling my new zine Gemini (my sign). It's about the duality of me. How parts of me are very organized, creative, and awesome. Yet, other parts are chaotic, overstretched, and not so cool. I don't mind being self-deprecating. It's a good writer's tool.

I loved exploring a new art form. It was a good workout for my hands, too. I think I burned some serious calories. I spent around $10 to $12 on rough draft materials alone. It's more ezpensive than just writing a standard text and black ink zine with a cool cover.

I'm so tired, but I don't feel like I can afford to take a nap if I want to get everything I want to get done.done. Only about 3.25 things on my to do list of nine complete and it's past 5pm. I feel like the world is simply moving too fast today. But, oh well, it's Monday and I'm behind because I missed a week of life due to illness. At least my paycheck came. Shopping trip and dinner out with disabled people Wednesday! I'm looking forward to the break!!

I had a backache this morning. So I opted to take a prescription pain pill. It made me fall asleep for 4 extra hours. I can�t do that when I have so much work to do. I really need to get my new wheelchair back; it was so much better for my back. My assist just left for her break. I�m proud of her, as she got me into my chair without incident or the first time ever.

Did you ever see one of those makeover shows where you�re like, �whatever they do it can�t be worse that what you put on your body yourself voluntarily.� This NYC school teacher that was on What Not to Wear was just such a person. At first, she looked so cheap. She wore shirts that showed her entire breast to teach. I thought, �what are you thinking, lady?� No teacher of troubled adolescents ought to wear that to teach.

You all know the kind I mean. The kind where nothing goes right. The kind where your first plan doesn't happen so you make a back-up plan and that goes wrong too. My first plan was to have been at poetry writing group but this afternoon I felt horrible so I opted to cancel my ride. Of course, by the time 5pm rolled around I felt better but couldn't reschedule the ride. As a back-up plan I opted to attend the Farmer's Market in town. However, I discovered that my ATM card didn't work because I'd reported fraudulent charges on it so there was no Farmer's Market for me.

After that, I came home, called my mom to ask if she could lend me $50.00 out of my birthday money that she still has custody of. That led to a long mother lecture which of course is not what you're in the mood for when you found out that your ATM card doesn't work and your plans have all gone to hell. So this evening I basically sat around listening to a book and playing a video game which raises money for disability rights. At least that's good. I decided, however, to at least write a little bit so this day wasn't a complete loss. Also, in a final dose of "who in the universe did I piss off?" I was going to try getting into my wheelchair on my bad leg tomorrow to give my good leg a rest but now my painkillers are gone. I don't really want to try that with no pain killers so I guess it's off to the doctor with me tomorrow. Can anything else happen?
