I am so happy now. Today has to be the greatest monday of my life so far. I got back from school with no homework, when I went to work, they just said to go home because they didn't need me, so I came home and played Metroid Prime, I found out that nutang is no longer blocked on my computer, and I started thinking of stuff to write in it, then I found out that I will only have to pay 642 dollars instead of what I thought would be 3,000 dollars to go to Japan this summer, the aforementioned 642 dollars may seem like a lot of money to go to Japan for 2 months, and it may not even be that much, it may only be 142 dollars. The cost is as follows, Passport: 107 dollars, Program contribution if I get selected for 2 of the 4 scholarships that requires a contribution: 500 dollars, application fee: 35 dollars. If the cost is 142 dollars, I can make the payment and tuition in 1 paycheck, but if the cost is 642 dollars, then I'll need to save up about 5 or 6 paychecks. Some of you may be questioning why I'm going to Japan, I've been working during the last month on becoming a foreign exchange student to Japan, becuase the entire way of life of the Japanese people just absolutely amazes me. I still have one major stumbling block in my way though. Insurance. I need both a medical and dental policy, and I thought I had found one, but it only covered the first 30 days, then after 30 days, the rate jumps up 5 dollars per day. That wouldn't be so bad if, say I were only staying in Japan for 30-40 days, but after the 40th day, the cost instead of being 185 dollars like the site proclaimed is now 235 dollars, and by the end of the trip, it is 285 dollars, which exceeds my allowed budget by about 100 dollars for insurance. I will call the foreign exchange company tomorrow to see what they think would be a good route to take for insurance. I'm so excited about this. It blows my mind that God has set this in my path. quiz by orangeday.net Yeah, that's me, Hinata.gif :) anyways, nothing much has happened here, I'm just trying to learn Japanese, and trying to learn programming. I tried out a language the other day, it's called Modula-2, I didn't much like it. I'm gonna stick to BASIC for right now. I watched a pretty cool movie last night, it was called The Flight of the Phoenix, it was pretty cool, the people were in Mongolia, and they crashed in the Gobi Desert. Then one guy said "Hey, lets rebuild the plane!" So they take about 2 weeks and rebuild the plane, but until the end of the movie, no one knows that the dude who said to rebuild the plain was a MODEL plain designer, and didn't work with real plains. I watched the Incredibles to, it was pretty cool for a cartoon movie. I went to Mr. Gatti`s, it was ok, I had like one plate of pizza, and then right as I was about to go get another plate, a kid threw up, so I couldn't eat anymore, cause I was about to throw up from it. Well, I got those root canals that they were talking about giving me. I almost fell asleep during them because I was so bored and it took so long. I probably would have fallen asleep if they wouldn't have had me hold my mouth open. I've been using paint shop pro a lot, it's really cool. I place my image that I made in the gallery. You should go look at it, it's really cool. I'm trying to make a new layout that will revolve around something sorta like that. I'm still trying to get a website again, the thought of having my own website is just to tempting to stop me. The only problem is getting a free host. Geocities is blocked, along with any other popular host. I'll try to get to one, and I'll tell you the name of the site when I get it all set up. I've been trying to learn psp7, so I got the librarian to buy psp7 for dummies for the school. She hasn't gotten it back yet from amazon, but it's supposed to be coming in the mail. Wow, it's finally friday!!!! I've waited all week for today, it's finally the weekend, and I can do pretty much anything I want to do. Well, now that it's finally here, I don't know what to do. I've been modifying my music list, I put on a new song in honor of it being friday, it's called come with me, by Special D. I love it!!! I've found a pretty cool program called JWPce, it's a japanese word processor, it lets you type in japanese even if you don't have japanese font on you computer, it's really cool. I found another one called Kanjigold to. It teaches Japanese Kanji without Japanese fonts either. I basically gave up (again) on trying to get a website besides this one, all hosting sites that I can find are blocked, and theres no way to get passed the filters. I've almost memorized the first chapter of my Japanese book, I'm halfway through it right now, and I'm typing up the first list of vocabulary. Well, that's about all of the interesting news, oh yeah, the two files on the music chooser, "Pinnacle" and "Crest of Nobility" are two of the songs my school band is playing at concert competion this year.
