I am so happy to say that I am sitting on the floor in front of the computer in my very own house, talking to you fine people! I've moved in to my new home, finally!

Really, that's about all I had to say, but I'll update later... I was just really excited!

Puzzling proposal
Tuesday. 9.25.07 10:47 am
BOSTON - It was the crossword puzzle fan's version of getting his marriage proposal plastered on a stadium Jumbotron.

Aric Egmont and Jennie Bass were working on a puzzle titled "Popping the question" in the latest issue of The Boston Globe Sunday magazine. Bass spotted her sister's name and her best friend's name, but initially thought it was just a coincidence.

Then they got to 111 across: "Generic proposal" (Jen + Aric generic). The answer: "Will you marry me?"

"We get to the `Will you marry me?' clue, and I said, `Will you marry me, Jenny?' I got up, got the ring, and got down on one knee and she screamed, and hugged me. It took her a minute to say yes," Egmont told the Globe.

Egmont, 29, of Cambridge, contacted the magazine this summer to ask if the people who create the crossword puzzles would write a special puzzle for him.

Emily Cox and Henry Rathvon, a married puzzle-writing team who have been writing Globe magazine crossword puzzles for years, agreed. Their puzzle included several variations on proposals; for example, "Macrame artist's proposal" was "Let's tie the knot."

The tricky part was writing an entire puzzle that would be clear to the happy couple, but not obscure to all the other readers who do the puzzles.

Bass, 29, said there was no reason for her to suspect anything when they started doing the puzzle.

"Then he got up and came back with a box and it was pure elation," she said.

how cute! I saw this on yahoo when I went to check my email... just wanted to share!

locking my keys out of my car, and feeling good
Tuesday. 9.25.07 10:18 am
Things are finally looking up! I got some wedding stuff accomplished, and I'm catching up on my homework, I don't have so much stuff to do anymore that I can't even think. So all in all, I'm feeling much better. I finally got my cousins number and now I can call him and run everything wedding wise past him, hopefully he will agree and then tada, I will have caught up on the wedding stuff and may even finish early.... can't beat that logic, let's just hope it works out like that!
The dog is FINALLY listening to me, thank God! It at least will get off of the table when I say, knows when she has something I wouldn't want her too, and plays more often with her toys than my cell phone. So, again, all in all I'm feeling much better.
I have just realized that I can't find my planner, but I'm not thinking about that I can check it out later! I don't want to bring down this entry.
I can't wait to see my concert, HIM is just so exciting. I got their new cd, Venus Doom. The thing I probably adore most about them is that they never change what they sound like, I can always count on them for a little reliablility. Which is odd, because my all time favorite band is AFI and their sound changes every cd and I adore them for that... but that's off subject. The new cd is awesome, I am learning all the words right now, so I'm not firmly attached, but I'm getting there.
I get to see all my girly friends this weekend because the bridesmaids dresses have come in and they all need to be tried on this Saturday. I'm quite excited, because everyone else is excited and that just always catches you up in it. I will also get to try on my wedding dress if I am so inclined... but my mom won't be there so it doesn't seem right, but I might try it on anyways to send her pictures so she won't feel left out.
The other day I got out of my car and I stupidly had put the keys on the seat, and as I closed the door I freaked out and tried to get my fingers in in time, but alas too late... I locked the keys in the car. I spent all day trying to figure out what I'm going to do about that. My other set of car keys were in the house and my house keys on the key ring locked in the car. Lonnie has a set of house keys and my Spanish teacher drove me to his work so that I could get those but she couldn't drive me to my house because she had a class, and when in college and the teacher is fifteen minutes late, what do you do? that's right you leave... I couldn't ask her to do that to her class, so I walked the five to eight miles home... I have heard a lot of guesstimates at that distance in the past few days. I thought I was dead by the time I got home. With the proper walking shoes and a water I could have made this walk... but I was dead thirsty and blistered by the time I found my front door. I called a cab because Lonnie needed his keys back or he couldn't drive his car. And I waited. and waited. and waited some more. Finally a tenant at my apartment came over and asked if I wanted a ride since my cab ditched me. He took me back to the parking lot where I was. Then I finally got back inside my car... WAHOOO!!! You have no idea how good it felt to drive again, and how much I now appreciate just how long of a street it is between home and school!
Well I need to get going on something else and make myself feel useful. Thanks for listening to me blab for a while!

Oh by the way, is there a way that I can lower the security settings because I got an email that someone couldn't see my whole site. Anyone know anything about that?

A new dog and store
Thursday. 9.13.07 11:01 am
Hey! I'm waiting for math again... and this time even though I have better things to do, I just want to type for a minute. I can catch up on English later, (I hope.)
I just got a new dog, a 8 month old beagle girl, who is alternately wild and asleep. I love her, but when I'm at school or work and Lonnie is working she has to be in the bathroom because she's already eaten my planner, my hair straightener, my cell phone charger, and the blinds... in three days. I feel really bad about her having to be in there all the time and Lonnie does too, so we are thinking of taking her back to the place where someone else can get her and actually be able to handle her. She needs a lot more space to run than our apartment actually offers. She is wild and crazy but I still love her. It's a tough choice, I mean I want to keep her, and I've never seen Lonnie so attached to an animal, it would hurt me to hurt him... But she's the hardest thing ever to teach anything, stubborn she is, and the carpet and our deposit is really suffering.
We love her, but is it really fair to her to be locked in the bathroom, and to only have time with us when we are winding down or sleeping?
She has also managed to put a halt on wedding planning and good stopper in homework, and I refuse to fail because of a dog... : )
I don't know, decisions, decisions
Nothing terribly exciting has happened besides that, OH except I went into a new store. It had sombreros, churros, and soda in glass bottles for sale! It was pretty much amazing. I better get off the computer though, and actually do some work while I'm not being chewed on.

what ever happened to me at the HIM concert
Thursday. 9.6.07 11:35 am
well, I am currently at school... it's one of the few places that has no blocks on their internet and I'm just waiting for my math class to start.... I'm not the happiest panda about that, but what can you do, math happens...
I just wanted to add in because I had a chance too right now, but I don't really have anything to say.
I guess I promised to tell you about what happened at the last HIM concert that I went to and now would be a good time to make good on that promise.
The last time that I went to see HIM, I was so uber excited at getting to see my second favorite band in the world that I got up at eight and was at the concert hall by ten. I even had a backstage pass to meet them after the show, that my fiancee got for me. The day of the concert was also the graduation day for most of my friends that were the year ahead of me. I really didn't want to miss them walk across the stage, because that would just be rude of me. I had a friend who was indifferent hold my place in line and then I met back with him after the ceremony. I wouldn't leave my place in line for fear of losing it when I first went over to the concert, and then rushing home for graduation and not wanting to leave my friend there alone for too long, I rushed back. I hadn't eaten the whole day, and I still wasn't hungry. just too excited. So I hung out and my friend started to gather around and we just prayed the doors would open soon because we couldn't rein in our excitement.
When we got in there, the mixture of heat and sheer force and weakness from hunger was getting to me, especially by the time that they were supposed to go on. Everyone was shouting for them, and I just kinda leaned my head to the side and knew that it would only be a little while before they came and left, if I could just hold out. Lonnie made me promise that I'd hold on to his hand, and if I stopped squeezing then he knew that something was wrong. Of course before long, I just passed out... which I should have known was inevitable (If you ever have the choice, don't freaking pass out, it totally sucks!) Lonnie and my best friend hauled me to the back to the concert hall. In my head I was freaking out and trying to grab peoples shirts to stop my descent away from that stage, but I'm told that I didn't move, no matter how real it seemed to me. By the time that they got me to the wall, I woke up and was freaking out because my glasses were gone, and the security was about to kick me out of the concert. I ended up fine, but had to watch from the back of the concert and they wouldn't let me backstage because they knew that I got sick... totally the lamest thing ever.
Just for the record, HIM was amazing... Ville is the only person on earth who can smoke a cigarette in between a chorus and a verse. It was earth shattering even from the back.
Good ending to the sad story... that night Lonnie took me out to a lake and was talking to me about being more careful and taking better care of myself. He was trying to tell me off, but he just can't be angry with me. Then he said that he was so scared about me getting hurt, and he realized that night that he couldn't live without me. That's what started our happily ever after engagement that we are currently in!
Alright, I better see what homework I can accomplish, and let someone else have a chance at the computers!!

x, reel big fish, scared, and HIM!!!
Wednesday. 9.5.07 7:18 pm
HEY GUYS!!
I went to my first concert ever where they put the x's on my hands for me. I am under 21 and to "prevent me from drinking" they put them on... it was amazing and exciting. And then I got to see Reel Big Fish, quite a good show, and really made me happy.
School is going well, and wedding plans are moving quick. I can't make favors and programs fast enough! I'm starting to freak out a little though.
AND THE BEST NEWS OF ALL FOR LAST!!!
HIM is playing my hometown really close to my wedding, so I am going to go to that concert as a bridal party!!!! I am so excited to see them again, they are beautiful creatures. Last time I passed out... but that's a story for next time.
I send my love, and I'm sorry that I've lost most you as readers because of my internet less state... but I promise to be back soon because I should be getting internet this Friday... but that has been said before!!!
