There was crying, but well not really that either. Today what happened is that I got to go shopping all by myself. I say got to and not had to because that is exactly what happened, I sent everyone away and got some me time with the shopping mall. I returned in a much improved mood. But what girl doesn't come home happy from affording herself a new pair of jeans identical to the favorite ones she just ripped AND the coolest wallet she's ever seen. Sometimes I just like to relish that fact that I am female, haha. Otherwise, we got the last groomsmen sized for the wedding, and everything seems to be in order... Tomorrow I work all day, and then I load the cars at night with the stuff that didn't fit in the trailer. I don't know if I'll be able to write tomorrow either. But the next morning, I'll wake up pretty early, and be on our way to a new life. I can't even grasp it yet, and I'm sure I won't really get the gravity of my situation until I'm standing in my apartment trying to pack a lifetimes worth of crud into a small area. Well, here's to adventure... goodnight, sweethearts! Comment! (2) | Recommend! books, nutang help, and party results Tuesday. 7.31.07 3:16 am Today, I finished the Harry Potter book. I know I just brandished myself with several titles and I'd like to disburse a few. So I read the story? I appreciate a good book, I have my own library and intend to become an editor. Stories are what I care for career wise. I also started those books when I was around 12 and once you read that much of a story, do you just say well, that's cliche and I don't really want to know the ending? No, you sit through it and read that last few pages. Also, I know the Harry Potter fans are laughing right now because it took me so long... I don't really care too much about that, but if you've read any of my other posts, you'd know I've been a litte busy as of late. Anyways, now that I have my own disclaimer, haha. I just wanted to say that the last few books I have kinda lost the taste for them. Maybe she focused too much on the movies, and the quality went down, or maybe I outgrew them, but whatever happened, it's different now. That last book was GOOD, and I can't stop thinking about it. I have to say, it was out of left field, but that book was amazing and I had to work after reading the last page not flip the book over and start again. I swear I would recommend the whole series just to get the joy out of the last book. In other news, I put all the boxes of my stuff and stuffed them extremely tightly into a trailer. It was quite a task, but now all I have left is a blanket on the floor, as my mattress is packed away, and I will be forced to live in this state until Thursday. Tommorrow I will pack all the things that didn't fit in the trailer into my car, and Wednesday I work all day. Just out of curiousity, when people leave comments to entries and stuff, is there a way for me to comment back under them that I'm not seeing? Because most of the time I want to reply, and I'm about to have a section at the top of posts assigned to the last post if I can't figure it out! If you wanted to know, the party went well, more people than I knew cared showed up to say goodbye. Seeing my friend for the first time in years was the greatest, I hugged her FOREVER! Even after most of them left, four of them who are probably the closest to me, stayed the night on accident because we sat down to talk and the next thing we knew it was 4:30 in the morning and they all had things to do at 8:00 so we just stayed up. That little bit of sleep will make you feel more tired than no sleep at all... and it was basically effortless to do so, for some reason. I decided that because I didn't cry like I thought I would, even though others did... I must be ready to move on. Which I am extremely happy for. Well, there is a cricket chirping outside my window that is about to drive me bonkers and I need to get some sleep for a new day! Comment! (5) | Recommend! You say goodbye, and I say hello... it's like the Beatles!! Friday. 7.27.07 11:55 pm tomorrow I'm having a goodbye/hello party. I know that doesn't make any sense but it will. See, I'm leaving, goodbye to all my friends and old life. But the hello is for my friend Amber who moved away for a couple of years and we've all been missing, and she is coming to visit for some unknown amount of time. I heard a week from some and a month from others, so whatever!! I feel like in a week my life officially starts and I can't wait to put all my trinkets with my fiancees in places where they will mingle together to make our stuff where they will rest together for the next four years... not to say we will be done in four years, it's just we will be moving again! Then we can get our first house!!!! But I'm getting ahead of myself, that's just the eventual goal, not anywhere near my present problem of the little things like graduating college!! Well, work in the morning, and I've been craving a soda a curling up with a good book, so off to see what I can find!!!!! Comment! (2) | Recommend! great, but not sure why Wednesday. 7.25.07 11:34 pm It's been a great day! Nothing super outstanding happened, but I got so much done that I just feel great about the progress around here. In a couple of days, I will be out on my own... and I'm reasonably terrified but still super excited. I have a series of collections of people gathering in the next few days, to say goodbye, because goodness knows when I'll be able to visit again. I'm not moving more than 4 hours but it's a long drive and I'll be short on money that could be used on groceries and not gas to come home. I'm of a very curious sort today, so I think I'm going to spend a while looking things up online just to see what I can figure out. I don't know what I'm trying to figure out but when I do, well, we'll see!! Obviously nothing interesting today, and I'm sorry... better luck tomorrow!! Comment! (2) | Recommend! lonely with fried pickles Wednesday. 7.25.07 1:29 am Today was a major packing day. I know that's not too exciting for you guys, but right now I'm laying on my mattress, on the floor, because everything else in my room is gone. It's kind of a lonely feeling but then again it just makes me want to get out of here even more. If things carry on like this, I'll be waiting in the car for everyone else to get ready to move the stuff. Anyways in other news, life is an adventure. I went to Applebees today with a couple of friends. I decided to eat the fried pickles. Now before you say EWWW GROOOOOSS! let me remind you that life is indeed an adventure. Might as well try everything once! They aren't a bad food at all, an I have to say, if you've ever liked eating a pickle, you'd probably dig these. The first one is like eww what was that flavor thing, but after a few minutes you find yourself wanting to try out just one more... and then you're kinda hooked. Just make sure to get some other food like mashed potatoes to go with it, so that you can erase that pickley flavoring and start over because it kinda gets to be a bit much. Anyways, I really liked them, so if you are ever presented with the chance don't be too freaked out!! Comment! (3) | Recommend! The Use of a Dollar Tuesday. 7.24.07 12:58 am First I want to comment on my last post, or rather a comment from it. Someone posted: Some people at concerts are total poops. There is a such thing as mosh etiquette. And I just wanted to say back: Yay! Someone knows what I'm talking about!! I just might post what I think the rules of a concert should be and you all could add your thoughts on what I missed and we could make a master set of rules together. Then none of you would turn into the concert poops by not knowing what's going on! Well anyway, today I went to where I'm moving and signed papers and bought the essentials for living like a vaccuum and cleaning supplies and pillows and just other general basic needs covered. The only thing I need now is to go to a Gordmans and get myself this cute endtable set I've had my eye on on the clearance rack. I'm quite excited about the things I got today. I got thirty things from the Dollar Tree... did you know that in that store absolutely anything that is in there is a dollar? It's like the best invention ever, you don't ever have to guess at about how much money you'll need. You need kleenex, cookies, a candle, and windex? You need five dollars, the extra one just to cover tax. It's amazing, but I'm easily made happy. Comment! (5) | Recommend! |
