Ciara On The Cover Of King, And Who Watches Soul Train Anymore?!?
    Thursday. 2.8.07 8:20 pm
Sexy Atlanta Siren—Ciara is gracing yet another cover this month and it’s King Magazine.

I’ve got to say, I think the princess of Crunk & B music’s appearance on the cover of the hip-hop men’s magazine is a real good look. Though she isn’t showing her ass on the cover like others before her has. She is still showing her age, and dishing out a little sexiness with the lollipop.

I got to be honest though; I am just sitting around waiting for her to evolve into Ciara “The Nympho”. We all know she isn’t all that talented as a vocalist. And the only way she’s going to keep herself relevant and still manage to sell records is to lose the clothes. Just look at Britney, Trina, and Madonna.

Oh well, whether she takes it all off or keeps it on. She still is one sexy ass girl who could get it from me any day. “You hear that CiCi, Come and get it mama!”

Atlanta, Why Don't We Support LiL Scrappy?!?
    Friday. 2.9.07 5:57 pm

    Atlanta stand the fuck up!

Yo, I've been watching Lil Scrappy closely over the past couple of months and I've noticed how Atlanta has seemed to have abandoned our boi. Why aren't we doing more to support him? Though Atlanta is known for putting southern hip-hop on the map, we're also known for supporting our people like no other city on earth.

T.I. for damn sure gets his love in Atlanta. Ludacris gets it too, so why have we all seemed to have deserted Lil Scrappy? It appears that his new album is a bust, his newest video "Gangsta Gangsta" with Lil John isn't even being talked about by anybody. What's up with that?

Could his affiliation with G-Unit, or G-Unot have been the problem? Or could he have been yet another victim to the sophomore jinx? We all know Scrap from the undaground mixtape scene—so tell me why we've seemed to have left him by the curbside?

Music critics were pretty harsh on Scrap with his newest lyrical efforts. Amazon.com said: "Half sorry, half party--crunk gets real!"

As expressive, and outspoken as my dedicated readers are, I want to know why Atlanta isn't standing behind Lil Scappy? Is he Poppin or Floppin?

    On a completely unrelated topic…

Thank God there is some justice in the world…

Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard will seek criminal charges, including felony murder, against three Atlanta narcotics officers involved in a botched drug raid that resulted in the shooting death of an elderly woman, according to a proposed indictment.

The proposed indictment drawn up by the prosecutor's office names officers Gregg Junnier, Jason R. Smith and Arthur Tesler. Howard accuses them of felony murder, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, burglary, making false statements and violation of oath.

This is a Hip-Hop site so I really can't go into it any further. But if you live in Atlanta, then you all know this has been a hot issue every since it happened towards the end of last year.

Check your local paper, and broadcast news for more info.

    Lata,

DJ Drama and DJ Cannon Return To Radio!!
    Monday. 2.12.07 1:02 pm

It looks like DJ Drama and DJ Cannon are starting to crawl up from underneath the rock they’ve been hiding from. After their highly publicized piracy arrest that sent shocks throughout the Hip-Hop industry. Tyree and Donald are coming back to reclaim their radio spot for HOT 107.9 radio. According to Hot 107.9 program director Jerry Smokin' B, DJ Drama will bring his immensely popular "Gangsta Grillz" radio show back to Hot 107.9 on Saturday's at 8pm.
According to one of my favorite people on the planet—Mrs. Sandra Rose—she’s saying on her website SandraRose.com the following:

    http://www.sandrarosenews.blogspot.com/

I saw Jerry 'Smokin' B at Amber Tresvant's party last night and he said DJ Drama took some time off from radio after the controversial raid and arrest that went down in Atlanta last month. "[DJ Drama and DJ Cannon] went through a very emotional time," said Mr. B. "I was talking to them today and they said, you know, 'I'm glad that the fans supported us throughout [the legal troubles]. That's in the past, let's look at the future and let's keep it moving'." According to Mr. B, station management met with the DJs yesterday and the arrest and seizure of assets and personal property was not discussed. "He's just happy to be back in the loop of things,” Mr. B said of DJ Drama. "They have a new album about to drop. They're completing the last track now."

Atlanta what do you think? Y’all ready for them to come back, and get back in the game? Tell me what you think!

Young Buck "Gets Bucked" In ATL!!
    Monday. 2.12.07 1:10 pm

My friend, blogmaster of Myurbanreport.com http://myurbanreport.blogspot.com/ and journalist for Black Family Channel— A.man.I hit the streets last week (February 7th-8th) with Nashville, TN Bad Boy,Young Buck, while filming his latest video “Get Bucked” which is from his sophomore effort "Buck the World." Atlanta's own DJ Polo produced the head nodding track. When asked to describe the feel of his newest track Buck said:

"It's one of those records; it has a lot of energy. It's got a band theme," Buck said from the set on the first night of shooting. "It's one of those party records, and to me, I like to compare it to Fifty Cent's "In The Club," but ten more notches up,"

The music video was directed by Bernard Gourley, and rappers Lil' Scrappy, C-Bo, Hot Rod, Rich Boy, and DJ Polo made cameo appearances. Students from Atlanta's Mt. Zion High School were also featured in several scenes, along with members of Clark Atlanta University's Omega Psi Fi fraternity.

Sha Money XL, President of G Unit records said the album will drop on March 20th and said, it's "incredible."

My dude A.man.I.’s new blog is slowly gaining momentum. I personally had the opportunity to meet him while at that horrible Young Jeezy “secret concert” debacle and we instantly clicked. He’s bringing a fresh new edge to the world of blogging by fusing his journalistic skills and field reporting knowledge together like no one I’ve ever seen.

He’s graciously provided sohh.com with exclusive behind the scenes video footage of Young Buck’s latest video. Look out for more collaborations between myself and A.man.I. in the future.

    Thanks again bruh!

    In related G-Unit news.

The beef between G-Unit and The Diplomats is reaching a fever pitch. As previously reported by SOHH, "Funeral Music" opens with a hearse rolling by with the words "Cam'ron's Career" on it and later mimics both Jim Jones' "We Fly High" as well as mocking the incident in which Cam's blue Lamborghini was shot up during Howard University's homecoming weekend on Washington,D.C.

True to Hip-Hop battle form, Cam has taken several shots at 50 including his appearance, rhyming, "He looks like a gorilla, with rabbit teeth." Cam also shouts out who he feels is a "real" dude from Queens, Kenneth "Supreme" McGriff with lines like "he ran from police/you run with police/you ain't from South Side/ 'bout to get your mouth wide." **Special Grammy Shoutouts**

Congragulations to Ludacris for his win last night. I like how he sent out a special thanks to Oprah and Bill O'riely.
