Dear everybody,
I realized I've been gone from here for almost a month. And what a month it's been! I did activism in D.C. resulting in my 24th & 25th arrest (by the way I've only been to jail for civil disobedience. nothing bad). During the same trip, I also bruised my knee very badly and was in bed for an entire week mostly. Lastly, I attended our community's local Pride parade where I made $80.00. I didn't realize it had been so long since I've been here until I logged on today for some reason and found that my last post was on 4/19.

In other news, my knee is on the mend. Thank God! And my cat is missing. I think he jumped out the window when the apartment owners installed new ones today. At first, I thought he was just hiding somewhere, but I haven't seen him in hours. I hope he's fine. I'm worried. He's never been outside at night before and it'll be dark in about an hour. Wish me luck in finding him.

Richard, my cat, walked into the back porch and meowed to be let in, just moments before I was about to send my PCA to hang up more signs to see if anyone saw him. He gets a collar tomorrow, even if he doesn't like them. I'm not going through this again. I think he know I'm mad at him, he's avoiding me like a guilty teen who has stayed out all night and is sorry he's burdened his mother with worrying that he's dead on a roadside. I'll check him over tomorrow, but I think he looks okay. Boy, I'm relieved.

I'm up very, very early. I was up and out of bed before 8 in the morning. Soon the van service will be here. I have to go to two copy stores and the mall. I need new shoes. Kenzie, my assistant whose dad died, is coming back to work for me for the first time since his death at 5pm. I'll be happy to see her and even happier she's opted to return to college despite her recent loss. For awhile, all of her friends (including me) were afraid she wouldn't.
