As far as I know May First or May Day is a celebration of spring, a day of political protests a day for organized labor. I believe somewhere I read that the United States at one point used to have a May Day holiday but because I think it was something to do with anti-communism during the former USSR cold war years that the Americans including several other capitalist countries changed the day to labor day and moved it to the fall. You you find a discrepancy here let me know, I want to know too thanks.

Hope everyone is enjoying a great May Day wherever you are. It seems that the May Day holiday got shortened from a week to 4 days whatever happened? Actually it is 4 weekdays plus the regular weekends but still it is only 6days. Give us back our holiday.... we deserve better.
