mood: Damn the stupid rain!

I was supposing to teach swimming this morning, but it's been raining cats and dogs the whole night, and still does now, so my mom asks me to call my student and ask if they would still like to have the lesson or not. In the end, they don't. So I am now loosing one lesson because of the stupid rain! Fcuk!

Right, I finally got a few part-time job at this moment: 4 tutorials (two are not yet confirmed) and two coaching. At last I can get something to do, not that I am complaining I am too free. The main key here is that I need money. That's really important. I have so much expense every month, and if I dun work my ass off, I duno where I can squeeze money to pay! Besides, I want to save some money and see if I can study some more part-time courses. I really want to learn more though I haven't decided what to learn yet. Open to suggestions!!

Start the new tutorial this afternoon. My student's name is Carmen. Well... it's really a story about this lesson.

Since Carmen's place is very near mine, so I left home about 30 mins before the meeting time. It took me 10 mins to walk to the place, but it took me about 10 mins to find the building, and 5 more mins to find the entrance!!!! Luckily I still arrived before the due time~

When I arrived at the place, I rang the bell. Then Carmen (I know her name afterwards) came to open the door. I told her I am looking for her mom. And she told me that her mom just went out! Then I told her that I am the new tutor. What was so surprising was that, she told me she didn't know there would be a new tutor!!! I was shocked!!! Finally, she let me in~ I was relieved, of coz. Where I could go if she didn't let me in?!

So I went in and sat on her wooden couch, looking around the flat. Then Carmen's elder sister came out of her room, asking her who's there. Then I told her that I am the new tutor. She said she didn't know there would be a new tutor either! Anyway, she and Carmen called her mom's cell phone, but no one answered. I told her that doesn't matter, I will wait.

Finally, after about 20 mins, their mom arrived home. She was surprised to find me here, coz the agent didn't call her about me coming on Monday, nor gave her my number. I told her I only got her number only 30 mins ago. This moment is really awkward, especially when she told me that she didn't know I'll be coming, and if I didn't show up today, she'd just leave it. I duno how I should reply that! Really! Is that my fault that she didn't know when I would come?! I mean, if you care so much, you'd probably call the agent again, right? At least you would do something, but not sitting there and kinda complaining!

Anyway, it's not difficult to teach a going-to-be P6 (=Grade 6) student English, and I am soooo glad to hear Carmen telling her mom (in front of me) that I can explain the grammar better! Her mom was happy to hear that, but on the other hand, feeling embarrassed..... I duno why, I guess maybe she didn't want me to know that there was another tutor before me, or she's worried that I would be "proud". First, I couldn't care if there's a thousand tutors before me, or should I feel something?? Second, why should I be proud? I am here to teach and earn money, not to show off, madam! But, I am still glad to know that I am a good teacher.
