Bali Trips Day 3 (disclaimer lots of photoes) lol
Saturday. 3.21.09 11:52 pm
Dear Diary,

This is the 3rd day of Bali Trip, after long activities on the 2nd day of tagging along w my bro, SIL and the photographer, we have our self pampered with 4 hours of spa and me and my SILs Mum have an extra hour of foot reflexology for free because it is a complimentary by Hotel Febris and Spa for staying more than 6 nights.

The Foot Reflexologys Room

Rusa Bikin Anak

After 5 hours of spa

Cold Jacuzzi

Massager and this is where I have my hair wash haha
The special 4 hours spa compound and the room

After 5 hours of spa, we were recharged, so we decided for Water Sport Activities, hence we needed to search for a driver to bring us there. Believed it or not 5 hours of spa, we had totally forgotten about our lunch, when the driver was here, we requested him to bring us out for food. Of course, not the fancy restaurant food, so he brought us to a light lunch which is Bubur Ayam ala Bali (Chicken Porridge).

It comes with Prawn Cracker It tastes yummy but salty LMAO idk why Bali foods r salty @@

After feeding our stomach, we headed to Nusa Dua for water sport, actually, the driver was telling us we get to see Sea Turtles too, but only to realize they charge us 35USD PER PERSON hontoni takai desu. Hence we refused to go for the Sea Turtles watch (we have to go to another island). When we were about to leave, the person try to reduced the price to 600k rupiah for 5 persons but we already had in mind that we dont want to go anymore. The water sports, they charged in USD so we chicken out!

Nusa Dua Beach

Hence the driver drove us to Pura Luhur (Uluwatu) Temple, the scenery was fascinating, and it really makes my jaw dropped on the floor.
It is located on top of cliff at the edge of a plateau 250 feet above the waves of the Indian Oceans. It is dedicated to the spirits of the sea Pura Luhur.
To go in there, you need to wear sarong (if u r wearing short pants) and a cloths tying around your waist and also you might need a guide to bring you along especially those that are wearing specs, because the monkeys there are very intelligent, they know a way to snatch you specs away. However, remember to bargain with the guide. Oh and if you lost your specs to the monkeys, you have to pay the guide to get it back, the guide will help you to bargain with the monkey @@.
Me, SIL and SILs friends are wearing our specs, so we have to be protected by the guide, LOL and the guide gave us a stick to self defend from the monkeys.
During our visit, there was a man spec nearly fall into the hands of monkeys, and imagine, a group of monkeys was rushing towards the drop spec it is quite scary.
The architecture of the temple is fascinating, and I really enjoyed all the old ancient temple, imagine without the technologies now, they still can build a strong architecture, I seriously salute the past.

Look at the wave

The holy temple on top of the cliff, we are not allow to go in, only the Believers are allow.

This monkey was cheeky enough, it jump up lamp post and shake it real hard, and attract lots of tourists attention, and later it jump up on top of the tree and seated there.

According to the guide, this is the King of the Monkey; sorry I dare not move away from the guide because I do not wanted to risk my spec being stolen. So not much photos taken here.

This is the sarong n the cloths I mentioned.

Before we leave, the guide told me that the monkey there once pulls her earrings from her ears I went @@ OMG. Thats why she told my SILs mom not to wear earring inside. Kowai desu.
After hiking up to the temple, we headed off for our early dinner, the driver suggested a place where we could watch sunset while enjoying our dinner, so off we go to another sunset beach, if not mistaken the restaurant name is White Beach Restaurant.
On our way there, the rain started heavily, but thank god the rain stop right before sunset, so we moved our seat towards the beach, and everyone was waiting and anticipating for the sunset. Seriously, the beach is clean compared to . Haha

The Sunset :p

Bali 2/3/09 :D

These 2 pictures were taken by the waiter, however, the 1st picture taken by him not met my expectation lol so I took an example picture of 4 others and show him, so the 2nd picture is the better shot for sunset as background :P

Kangkung

Squid

Fish

Prawn

Satay

After the lovely sunset dinner, we headed home to sleep at 8pm because next day we were going to hike Mt Batur- the Volcano and the driver is fetching us at 130am~ :P
So to be continued :D

Random picture

This is an angry cat fierce cat feed by one of the tourist that stays at Hotel Febris and Spa. Lol this tourist like to wink at me @@

Bali Trips Day 5 Amateur Diving and Water Sport at Nusa Dua [Disclaimer: Lots of Photos]
Monday. 3.23.09 12:21 am
Dear Diary,

This was the no2 best day in Bali, Indonesia, because we have some real extreme FUN! We called in a company from the brochure we got from the air port to bring us for the water sport activities. And the prices for the activities were cheap compare to the last 2 days which charge us USD rate.

My SIL was the best in dealing with the company as she demanded the company for APV SUZUKI, to fetch us, however, according to the company, Avanza was better, me and my SILs mum making noise boycotting Avanza as it too bumpy for us. Later the company reviewed that SUZUKI was not available, but to our surprise, APV SUZUKI was there waiting for us when we were ready for some fun activities. The power of bargaining.

Once we reach the destination, we were shocked to see huge buses around the area but none of them were into water sport, except for the beach. Oh the beach that we go for is Nusa Dua beach. :D

Okay the person in charge was shocked to see the price printed on the brochure haha. Because it was way too low from the original price and also. He dont even know about the price :P.

We had our Noob Diving experience. Me and my bro do not know how to swim, but who cares. Off we go to diving.

The diver that accompanied us were Nyoman and idk his name haha and a photographer that we hired, charged us 300k Rupiah per trip :D around RM100+, the water sport company is Kanaka Ocean.

Cheese haha thats me!

Briefing on how to breathe through the oxygen tank, I was asking funny question like will I able to see SHARKS, thats y he went @@ and also he say if the water pressure r high, try to blow our nose and our ears will release it, but I told him, my left ear have no effect. And he go @@ again haha (seriously he touched my ear and no sign of any air pressure )

This guy is funny, he helps me w some photo shot w Nyoman, and he snap none stop ! another pic of him, he showing his bulu ketiak I go @@

After diving, we had our water sports activities, I have jet ski and banana boat (my bro too) and my SIL, SILs Mom and SIL friend have parachuting, flying fish, jet ski and banana boat.

I didnt take picture, because I will destroy my camera @@ however the experience was super fun. The banana boat was the worse experience, because all of us fall into the sea less than 5 min after they drove us off. Even the leading guy falls into the sea too @@ . And later he told us Tidak Sengaja not on purpose, because the driver drove too fast . Haha later we requested we dont want to fall into the sea anymore LOL. Overall it was SO MUCH FUN..

Nyoman was suppose to bring me on Jet Ski, but last minute another group of tourist was there for diving so I went with other haha but was still COOL!!!... :D

The best day of my Bali Trip - Mt Batur the Sunrise Tour :D [Disclaimer: Long post + lots pic]
Tuesday. 3.24.09 3:11 am
Dear Diary,

This gonna be long winded, if u dont feel like reading, plz proceed to the picture, cause I wanted to write it for my own record n memories.. :D

On the Saturday (lol I lost count of my actual day at Bali) was the last day for us to do all the fun activities, and it was the best day ever in Bali, because we never gave up on our thoughts of going to hike Mt Batur at Kintamani ~ one of the famous yet active volcano in Bali.

We called Bali Sunrise Tour to arrange for the trip and they charged us 35USD with breakfast at a restaurant (bringing us from Kuta to Kintamani). To be informed that, those that plan to hike Mt Batur, you are required to go through a travel agent to arrange for you or you can go there and look for The Association of Mt Batur Trekking Guide to hire their guide to lead you up to the summit. Or you can call 0366/52362 or their email [email protected] before you make your plan or ask for the weather condition, I think they dont check their email, lol cause when I try to email them weeks ago, there is still no reply from them, hence calling is the best choice if you dont want to deal with the travel agent.

We started our journey at 2am in the Saturday morning, with the van with air condition sent by the Bali Sunrise Tour (the road journey to Mt Batur was not a pleasant one, as in I have dogs nose and scent emission from the exhaust @@) but overall was good as the tour guide from the company was explaining to us that it will took 2 hours to reach Mt Batur so we can sleep in the car).

Upon arrival, we were stunt by the cold temperature, hontoni tsumetai desu, thank god I bring my jacket and towel with me (erm we were not told to bring jacket or wear proper attire! V okla we were abit silly)

When we step out from the van, we were amazed by the dark clear sky with beautiful stars hanging and blinking at us, as if welcoming us to Mt Batur (such an amazing views, and I dont think ill forget about it, too bad my camera was not that capable of capturing the beautiful sky view).

While I was busy watching the sky, there come a guide, introducing himself stating he will be our guide to lead us to the summit of Mt Batur, and he keep saying this.

You very cantik la @@ - Means you are very beautiful @@ and refused to let my hand go after a firm shake @@ hahaK.

While everyone (MY SIL, SILs Friend and SILs MOM) still amazed by the sky, our main guide ~ Gede (I MISS HIM!!!!!!) was saying lets go, off me and my brother be the lead to start off our journey at 3.45 or 3.50am, we only have one thing in mindK catch the sunrise :D followed by the other 3 with another guide.

The first quarter or half route was easy as in flat form, but since the sky was dark, we hardly see, I only look at my bros step to hike Mt Batur. While my bro was looking at Gedes steps with his flash light, later my brother switch places with me as ill be following Gedes steps.

We stop at the huge tree for some rest before continue the hike as well as waiting for my SILs group. And thank god I still get to look into the beautiful dark sky.

Along the way, Gede was so quiet until half of the route he started talking, lol I think we were too noisy for him. We were asking this and that, and we keep asking for TAXI to fetch us up to the summit. Or helicopter 4 roda (4 wheels helicopter). We have to slow down as we have to wait for SILs Mom, (give her applause, she is retiree and yet she managed to do all the youngs stunt, even the Guides were amazed by her and say, Mama KUAT! Mama STRONG!, of course she was accompanied by 2 personal guides lol.)

Later our team was pass through by a late comer group and we said hello, and off them go and passes us. Haha I know we were the amateur, and gosh they were wearing proper attire and proper SHOES !! (remember the trip we said we wanted to go t Mt Batur but raining heavily? Yup we reach the destination and there was a guy telling my bro is ok to wear slipper as the route is easy to walk, so everyone of us wore slippers to hike the Mt Batur :P). Even Gede and another guide were laughing at us, but of course, me telling himK we r KUAT :P.

By the way, ended up my team have the most guide, although we were suppose to have 2, since we were so slow, and there was one guy joined our team, he is the water seller, age 17, High schooler, everyday he hike Mt Batur to sell water at the summit, and climb down Mt Batur with his flip-flop (just like mine) in 30minutes to go to school, and we SALUTE HIM!

As the route continue, it get tougher, and Gede was SUPER KIND enough to lend his helping hand, so he was holding my hand all the way up to the summit (half way), pity him, lol but he was super nice, and keep asking me Mau Gedong/Gedung V Want me to carry? and I told him, I am KUAT. But occasionally, im asking for taxi, which his reply was 2 kaki taxi (Means him to Gedong/Gedung me)

By the way, the stray dogs laughed at us as we hike too slow and blocking their way up the summit @@.

The view half way through was magnificent, over seeing Mt Agung and the Batur lake and I was telling Gede I just stay here and look at the sunrise instead of going up, but he was such a good motivator, ended up I managed to go up to the summit (although it was like 5min away to summit). The 1st word I say when I reached the summit was I SURVIVED W MY FLIP FLOP and everyone looked at me.. .LOL . I was having so much funK. !!! super much of funK.

We bought water from the 17 year old as he helped us too during the hike, (I think we have 4 guides in our team) V 2 volunteers~~~

Up to the summit, we were the noisiest and most active person busy snapping pictures and posing for the camera, right since we survived our slippers hiking Mt Batur, is something we proud off, later tourist too were busy snapping photos of themselves instead of scenery (I think).

After the summit, we continues our journey to the steam, which we need to hike down through another route, I was making noise and refused to goK lol and later I went tooK. No regret of going down thereK we try to feel the steam, Gede was telling me, it is very hot, so I put my hand there and say is not hotK he @@ and we wash our hands too with the Holy Water :D .

Gede was shouting at the Mt and echoes :D ,so me too followed shouting SUGOIK. SugoiKsugoiK.
Later we were posing for camera again. :D

-we discuss about singer from Indonesia, and I told him I only know PeterPan lol

-Gede was saying to snap picture of my flip flop at put at the office K. NO SLIPPERS lol

-One guy from Poland passes us, and we said hello, he asked me, hows your guide? I say I LOVE MY GUIDE, and I asked him hows urs? he said: NoK. my guide smokeK @@. Me and Gede were laughing our lung out.

-aww my SIL hurt her toe and bleed :(

Worth climbing?

-Hell Yes! But please, go up the hill for sunriseK you wont regret. We met another couple that started climbing at 8am @@ and the girl was complaining is so freaking hot. Lol

Trust meK it worth every single penny and ur energy :D + lack of sleepK :D

-Remember, please remember~!! To wear hiking shoes lolK

When we reach the starting point, everyone was there, and even they started calling me Sayang @@

so i took the wrong plane and ended up in Korea Part1 (27pics)
Monday. 12.7.09 9:45 pm
Dear Diary,

The plan was simple, a trip to Japan taking JAL, touched down at Tokyo for 2 days, Takayama for 2 days, Kyoto and later Osaka Kansai Airport, however, we "took the wrong plane" and ended up landing at the land of Kimchi instead of Sakura.

Never in my life have a pleasant flight landing, but the plane took to Korea (Korea Air) had a perfect landing (once), but other than that the services were POOR AND BAD AND HORRIBLE AND WORSE IN ALL OTHER FLIGHT W KOREA AIR! - continue next time

Day 1

Reach the Korean International Airport around 730am, and were greeted by a group of Korean Tour Guides who speak fluent Mandarin ~ (poor a family who dont understand n have to wait for translator) and another camera man "Tim - bomb hair" who speak little english, little mandarin (as in 1, 2, 3, and TY) and lots of sign language was used when i communicate with him.

Korean Bus Driver, well maybe our bus driver plate 1559 (the number being the joke of the trip) was the best in town, he drove like a Bus F1 Driver...imagine it. most of the time i was horrified by his driving skill...

We visited seagull on top of the ferry, and we get to feed them with prawn cracker, this was the 1st time i experience COLD (LOVING IT)

Later we went to a park, and finally my aunt get to see the maple leaves she was wishing to see at Jeju Island.

Pictures r all in random orders, (taken by Sony Dsc-30) more pictures from my uncle camera, but 1800++ to choose... so i need some times @@''

so i took the wrong flight and ended up in Korea 2 (pics)
Monday. 12.14.09 9:12 pm
Dear Diary,

Continue from the previous post, and nope i didnt take the wrong flight, it was just a joke i make... since i was supposed to go to Japan instead.. but plans changed so we ended up at the land of Kimchi...

Pictures were taken using my cellphone Sony Ericsson w705, because i ran out of battery @@''

Most of the pictures were taken at Seoul, the ladies street, where the female university located, seriously, shopping during winter was boring, especially to us who taste summer 365 days.. nothing much to buy tho... so mostly just side seeing...

Other pictures were taken at Jeju Island, we went for volcano climbing and beach seeing.... it was fun especially the strong wind that blew against our face... we make noise of cold and hot constantly.. as we sweat as we climb, but upon reaching the summit... it was Freaking HOT!...

Our Bus Driver... at Jeju Island.. scary fellow.... but as compared to Seoul Driver.. he is nothing hahaha

Taking Korean Air home was the worse experience i ever had with flights.. the air attendants were rather rude and stu..p because they make a fool out of themselve.

Scenario during Dinner serving
After serving front and the back of the flight, they finally reach our seat area asking us what do we wanted to have for dinner so ... dialogue

(FA= Flight Attendant) (B= Customer)
FA: Mam, we have chicken and beef, which one do you like?
B: erm.. Chicken Please.
FA: Sorry Mam, we no longer have chicken.
B: @@''

To my horror, when i heard they no longer have chicken in stock because i dont take beef.

Later when the FA came to my seat...

FA: Mam, we only have beef left, so is it ok with you (something like that)
Me: sorry i dont take beef.
FA: We have pizza, would you like to have pizza, but you have to wait for 10 minutes.
Me: Ok

After 10 minutes+ of waiting (and im starving) the pizza finally here... WOAH CULTURAL SHOCK.... it is worse than kids meal... kids have so much to eat ... and they expect adult to be full with quarter of what kids meal have...

it was poorly served.. in a small plate.. without water and side dishes... @@'' until i have to ask for it... very bad service...

i was pissed off with the pizza, and i started making so much noise.. of telling my uncle ill start asking for service every 5 minutes... and later the flight attendant came to my service and asked is there anything else she can do...

I told her off by saying, do u expect me to have this pizza for dinner, and later she said....

FA: we have korean style sushi, do u wanted to have it?
Me: yes
FA: but is also BEEF.
Me: IF IS BEEF DONT TELL ME
FA: ok ill see what i can do...

later she brought me the sushi.. which was onigiri.. and i suspect is expired .. but i dont know because it was all in Korean Character.... so i cant make noise...

It was the worse experience ever... !

But the trip from KL to Korea was ok because the pilot have perfect landing~ loving it... but other than that.... Korean Air... was a disaster flight experience!

pizza with bread and cheese n sauce only

onigiri... tuna or salmon cant remember

Exploring Shanghai 2 (Nanjing West)
Tuesday. 7.27.10 10:15 pm
Dear Diary,

Took me awhile to remember my password to nutang @@'' (sign of old age!)
These were the 2nd day exploring Shanghai PuXi (West side of Shanghai)
Took the ferry (5min walks from home) to PuXi, exploring the famous "The Bund" "Shanghai Tan) Which the name itself was a TV series for the golden days.
Heavy Heavy Rain!

Walking up the Bund and hide under the beautiful shade because the rain was too heavy

Over Looking Pudong where I stayed~

Walking down the Road of Nanjing West(Nanjing Xi Lu)
It is relatively important to keep your eyes "OPEN" while travelling at Shanghai, because
1. You have to aware of thief
2. Aware of scammer (often happened to foreigners where a swamp of "ladies" will surround you and asked you to go with her for tea... if this happened, don't follow them, or you will expect an extremely high bills! with lousiest tea quality)
3. Keep left and right, front and back for cars, motorbike, bicycles... because they will come out from nowhere, In Nanjing West~ they have tour train... so please watched out for them, or they might bang on you. @@''
4. Of course enjoy the scenary, lots of shops along the way.

Because it is the World Expo Season, you can see a lot of expo merchandise, remember to buy from those "licensed" store for collection and "non-licensed" for souvenir (it is way cheaper, and remember to bargain with the non licensed seller)
Since is World Expo Season, this shop (licensed Expo Merchandise) Have the store build resembling the China Pavilion.

Thank god for my half plus six Japanese, I able to read some and understand some of the "Susume" places around Shanghai (we have this Japanese Magazine lying around the house and uncle wanted to throw it away!)
I discover this interesting Sculpture Garden that are yet to be famous in the Japanese Magazine, and we decided to have a trip there. Wow, Indeed it was a wonderful places. and less tourist, less pollution simply because it is still very new.
Inside the garden, consists of different sculpture by artists, and those interesting was the 3 apples and a crow (look like SnowWhite~)
The buffalos and the unidentify sculpture~
Inside the garden itself have a very big garden(yet to complete) with craft of the wall, and flowers, pond that done nicely.
Oh not to mention, wild cats too.. (which was not afraid of me)

Dinner was Great to visit the newly build for World Expo Hotel, InterContinental Shanghai Expo, where majorities of the items, build to resemble the expo itself.

the carpet, designed to show the 2 side of expo, Puxi and Pudong ~ the blue represent the river that divided Puxi and Pudong... Interesting?

this was where we waited for our taxi~

Next [Day 3 at Shanghai... exploring Yuyuan and Chinese massage~ and a simple yet fully satisfied dinner~]
