Today, at last the conference is over, and on this Saturday... is my last day of work on another project (gov project) national recycling day and off me go... of course i get my pay cheque $_$. hahah

ok.. lets talk bout today conference which was held at Hotel Equatorial KL.... whole day courses from 830 to 5pm... (@@) i know u must be thinking... super tiring, because i bet it is because after the lunch break the full room had reduce to half... lol everyone seems to dissappear to no where.

okay cut it short since this post is about Mr. Nice Guy (Will update the conference for my own reference tomorrow when i get hold of company's camera).

Well,
1 month of working,
1 month of calling,
some feel annoying,
some feel exciting,
and for me, of course is exciting.

Hahha, i been doing lots of calling and emailing to all the speakers that were invited to give a talk during the conference, and to my surprise, all the speakers are super nice, and they r easy to talk to despite the level or status that he hold, except 1 guy (which i do not wanted to put his name here).

okay.. i cut it short.. there was this Speaker... lets call him C :P is super nice to us, especially to our association, despite his busy schedule, of moving to new office, of traveling abroad, in order to do my ED a fav, he purposely travel from our neighbouring country.

And of course my ED do not appreciate C afford of helping us out (note: all speakers travel by their own expenses and pay their own accomodation).

The story was like this, i needed to call up all the speakers to get their presentation slide... it was a challenge for me because i normally dont talk to stranger.. so i came across C which is the 2nd speaker that i followed up after the mat salleh.

at 1st i only deal with C using email, and well he was the 2nd speakers to send in his biodata however, not his presentation slide... (which u can smell trouble in later days)

so 2 weeks before the conference, i gave him a ring at his cellphone (at last i get to talk to him)... to my surprise, he is super nice, super polite, super gentle and etc etc...

so i called him, and he said, his presentation wont be the same as the slide he do not wanted to have slide, but of course my ED do not allow... haha so despite his busy schedule, he sent in his slide after 3 days (he did it at the plane and sent it to me when he landed) and of course my ED make noise.. because the slide is super simple.

So he promise that he will redo the slide and send it to us next day b4 2pm.. yes he did send and in pdf file (instead of ppt) and trouble that the background is black, and my colleagues r making noise for not able to see font so once again he have to re sent so many times.. (pity him, he don’t get to sleep ?remember he is busy through out the month.

So after all the hassle he still so nice to talk to ( I was so afraid that he gone mad because I always play the bad ppl role u know ?like loan shark, instead of money I go after the slide)

But today?during the conference, he was there, and he don’t even show that he is superior or so on, and when he register, he said I am C the speaker, quickly I called him from the other end (lol I incharge of participants registration not speakers) and told him I'm Jolene haha yes he is so nice?:P

So after he settle at his spot, I went to bug him?ahah you know have a quick chat and so on.. and yeah he was niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeee……. >.> <.< lol I asked for name card?

He talk was funny and keep us awake?lol and after the conference end, I went to congra him for his great job and tease him for not getting any question shoot?at him during the panel discussion?and he told me that, ?I’ll try to cover everything so ppl wont ask me any questions?haha - good strategy

I said i'm going to bombard you with questions when I'm familiar with PET (Polyethylene terephthalate ) by sending him email?lol he was laughing?omg so nice ?see Mr. Nice guy? :P

I mean the feeling of "he is nice?is so hard to describe, this type of man pupus??extinct already?.

Okok need to go to bed now?I'm so tired?yawn? :D

On 17 Nov 2007, was my last day of work at "YumPYumMeh". Today is an outing again, where we r incharge of National Recycling Day 2007.

Seriously, I felt that this "thingy" was a failure because the flow of traffic was disasterous where, there were no patron besides those invited guests. The event was still okay at the morning, but turned out to be "you visit my booth, i visit your booth at the afternoon"

Of course, me and my friend were assigned at the morning session, so we managed to fool around before the booths were started to pack n go home. of course we managed to took some silly photoes too.

Nothing much during that day, so just some pictures... the last 2 pics r resins used to make plastic. Red resins make red plastics, blue resins make blue plastics and so on... :D

Erm, what am I listening now, Matoya�s Cave from Final Fantasy I by a group created by Nobuo Uematsu ~ The Black Mages.

Yesterday (3/08/08) I managed to grab 3 of The Black Mages album which I wanted it for months, but it is not available around Penang area (yup Penang not updated la). During that day itself was my younger brother bday, so we drop by Anime Tech and Sunway Pyramid before heading for bday lunch with relative.

Thank god that I didn�t ask my elder brother to grab these 3 albums for me since is way too expensive in Japan.

Now I have 4 cds by Nobuo Uematsu,

U see it right, the school bus was on fire at Penang Bridge today @@'' and causes the whole Penang Bridge to jam with cars, i can even walked on the bridge while waiting for the traffic to flow... our cars were just STOP on the bridge...

We waited for 1 hour b4 the car able to move again... as usual, i took the opportunity to take some pictures hahaha...... now my news r faster than the local newspaper.... :P

Thank god the polices were there to control the traffic... oh and i saw fireman too ~~~ while my dad's car reach near the bus, the fire was put off, but i do took a pic of after burning... ~~

P.S: I wonder what is wrong w me, been trapped in traffic jam for many times this week @@''

I bake muffin yesterday, since im bored with cookies baking... too hard for me to chew :P

browse through Martha Stewart's recipe and modify part of it... and there u go ~~~

Makes 12 jumbo muffins

FOR THE STREUSEL TOPPING
1/2 cup packed dark-brown sugar (original recipe is 1 cup but i reduce the sugar , too sweet)
1 cup all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup (1 stick) chilled unsalted butter, cut into small pieces

FOR THE MUFFINS
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature plus more for pans
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled), plus more for pans
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup whipped cream (original recipe is sour cream - i dont have any)
1/2 cup granulated sugar (original recipe is 1 cup but i reduce the sugar. too sweet)
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon coffee powder (not in the recipe, but i add in, since the title is coffee cake muffin @@'')
Confectioners' sugar, optional (for deco)

Directions
1. Prepare streusel topping:
In a medium bowl, stir together brown sugar, flour, salt and cinnamon. With a pastry blender or two knives, cut in butter until mixture resembles large coarse crumbs; refrigerate until ready to use.

2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees (180 Celsius). Prepare muffins: Butter and flour a jumbo 12-cup muffin tin (or two 6-cup muffin tins). In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and baking soda; set aside.

3. Using an electric mixer on medium speed, beat together butter, sour cream, granulated sugar, coffee powder and vanilla until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, until well combined. With mixer on low, beat flour mixture into butter mixture.

4. Divide half the batter among prepared muffin cups. Top with half the streusel mixture, then remaining batter, and top with streusel. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center of a muffin comes out clean. Cool in pan 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Dust with confectioners' sugar, if desired.

Distant Worlds will make its Asian premiere in Taiwan at the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall, and in Singapore we are proud to be part of the Singapore Arts festival for two concerts on the 22nd and 23rd at 7:30pm in the Esplanade Theatres on the Bay. Tickets will be on sale in March 2009.
