People these days...more specifically- TEENAGE GIRLS.

I was at lunch sitting at my usual table with my usual group of friends and we were on the topic of Girl Scout cookies, so I was going to ask my [so-called] friend Jaclyn if she still sold Girl Scout cookies (since I didn't know if she was still in the Girl Scout program).

Chilled for awhile until Jaclyn and her 2 cronies (well on of them is exceedingly cool-REGINA!..and the other is her confidant-Jennifer C.) came to sit across from us.

"Hey, Jaclyn? Are you selling Girl Scout cookies right now?"

*Looks at me for a second*
"NO DUH; YES, I still sell them."

I was stunned; I'd never witnessed her giving me such a retort. One side of me felt a little hurt and bewildered at her personality change, but another side of me was malicious. I wanted to put that girl in her place. She's talked like that to people she disliked- maybe even hated- but she's NEVER replyed to me that way...and I thought she would never use such belittling tones towards me.

Argh. I'm debating wheter or not I should reconsider my friendship with her or just ignore this circumstance.

She's been mean to some of my other close friends too, so that's another thing I have to weigh in on.

Hahaha, good thing my workload isn't that burdensome right now, so I can have time to think this through.

Just got back from an open house that supposedly honored the students' artworks in the Reflections program.
Sharp pangs of bitterness and tiny spears of spite linger in the back of my mind.
Ok, out of all the entries in my school my Literature submission was picked for 1st place [in the Literature category]...and then it went on to the district level of judgement. ~All of the first,second and third place submissions went on to the district level, so nothing extraordinarily special there.~ THEN the Reflection judges choose the best entries from all the schools in our district to go on to the next level. My piece didn't get chosen...even though I got first place in school. My friend submitted a Visual Art piece and got 2nd place in school level...her entrie was chosen to go on to the next level.

Mine: Award of Merit

Oh well. Now I feel a tiny bit better after typing about it.
