Recap of Last 2 Weekends
Friday, July 15, 2011
For the weekend of July 4th, I went to my dad's company trip. We went to Redding and it went pretty well. Since we already went there in June to check everything out, it wasn't as exciting as it could have been. We did get to visit two new places (but I forgot which places already, lol). We left Saturday morning and came back Monday night around 9pm. I drove back to Davis with my boyfriend around midnight and as we were passing the tolls, we saw a lot of people lining up. I guess everyone was going home after fireworks. Thank goodness I have FasTrak otherwise it would've have taken a lot longer to get home.

Last weekend, I went home for a dentist and an optometrist appointment, as well as my boyfriend's brother's birthday get together. I had my appointments on Saturday and went to the Alameda County Fair with my mom and my brother afterwards. Then on Sunday, I went hiking on Mission Peak with my boyfriend, his brother, and some of their friends. We went up the harder route like usual but since I hadn't gone in a year, it was a lot harder than the last time I went. Luckily it was no where near as hard as the very first time. We've already gone down from the easy route but eventually I want to try going up to easy route. It seems like nothing compared to beginning and middle parts of the hard route but it probably won't feel like it when I'm actually hiking up.

I haven't done too much during the weekdays besides classes. Last week I tried Beach Hut Deli for the first time with a friend. It's a sandwich place and it was really good. I liked it so much that I had to take my boyfriend there for lunch the next day. Yesterday I tried Zen Toro, which is a Japanese restaurant. There were a few yelp reviews that said service was slow but they served us pretty quickly. When my friends and I were walking to the restaurant at noon, we saw a huge line for the Harry Potter premiere. Today, I had my 2nd midterm for my genetics class and it was pretty easy.

Living Situation
Saturday, July 16, 2011
I don't remember if I ever said this, but I'm currently living in a studio by myself. In September, I'm going to be moving into a new apartment with 4 other people. My studio is going to be rented to someone else and I was told that they wanted to come take measurements today at 11. I woke up at 10 so that I wouldn't be in my pj's when they came. When they actually arrived, they just looked around really quickly and left. They seen the studio before but I guess they didn't really remember how big it was. Maybe I should have just stayed at my boyfriend's apartment so that I would have gotten more sleep. Oh well.
