What a terrible way to start the class! But aren't solar-powered vampires a bit impractical? Did you know I have somewhere around one hundred forty entires? The primary function of the United States Coast Guard (besides protecting the borders and patroling national waters) is to travel back in time and battle pirates! If wishes were squids, then beggars would write. With the ink, you see. The ink of SO MANY SQUIDS. "It doesn't get any more serious than a Rhinocerus about to charge your ass." Tuesday 8.24.04 5:59 pm I really can't believe how quickly school seemed to come this year. It's like it somehow runs up and takes a bite out of summer's ass every year, making precious summer ever shorter (and considerably more pissed off). Unfortunately, summer is too much of a wuss to beat the crap out of school for biting her, so she sits there and, although she's full of energy, slowly loses her height. And the prestige goes with it, in a way. I used to celebrate having large quantities of time on my hands during the summer and doing absolutely nothing with it, but now it seems to take on a much more meaningful light and get that much shorter because of it. It's interesting how all of that works. Let's see... School is certainly interesting. I've probably made some really good impressions on my teachers... and a really bad one, so it's going to be fun to see how they react as I gravitate towards being average. I have noticed, though, that I am extremely vocal in my two science classes. I don't know why I answer so many questions in science, but I've noticed that I always seem to do it. Maybe some pharmaceutical talent rubbed off on me at some point in my early life and I have a subconcious thirst to expand it. Oh, just to say a tiny bit about English class, I did the first assignment, which was to write a letter to Mrs. Price, and I got to choose what to write about. I had topic sentences for the body of the letter and everything else she asked, but... I ended up writing the most off-topic, supposed-to-be-structured letter I have ever written. I appologized profusely in my conclusion-type-thing, but I don't think she'll enjoy reading it. At least she's going to think I can't say on topic when I write so I'll get some leniency on my first few essays. Ah, my French teacher, Mrs. Kawecki, also declared herself a nazi today. I was laughing until she started talking about German grammar and accent marks. At that point, I was rather afraid that, being a Jew, I was screwed. Of course, she was just saying she was strict when she called herself a nazi... but I still plan to be wary of her. Later, DS
