What a terrible way to start the class! But aren't solar-powered vampires a bit impractical? Did you know I have somewhere around one hundred forty entires? The primary function of the United States Coast Guard (besides protecting the borders and patroling national waters) is to travel back in time and battle pirates! If wishes were squids, then beggars would write. With the ink, you see. The ink of SO MANY SQUIDS. "It doesn't get any more serious than a Rhinocerus about to charge your ass." For those of you who didn't think so, I'm definitely obsessed with someone. I had an interesting conversation with her last night which happened to be filled with more debating... well, with her debating me over things I said than normal chatting, but it ws fun nonetheless. It's so nice to have someone to talk to that won't just shadow me and go along with everything I say, accepting it as fact. Not to say that that's always bad, but it does get sort of dull if people think everything you say is fact and they aren't willing to consider the possibility that you could be wrong... That's definitely one reason I'm so... well, obsessed. Don't read the fine print! It's not very useful anyway. It's kind of funny that half way through that conversation I thought I was killing what little chance I have, since she was chucking insults at me right and left and I kept pushing myself into them. I was giving little snippets of what she said to another friend and she kept saying, "What are you doing to her!?" and "You should pretend you have to go to the bathroom and let her cool down." I sort of figured out after awhile that she was just in a debating mood, so that's what I wrote up there so I wouldn't have to explain all of this and take up space... but I decided to do this anyway... oh well. Now back to ranting about my "life". I went to Barnes and Noble yesterday and came out with eight books for thirty-two dollars. I'm rather proud of that. I got A Tale of Two Cities and the lady at the counter asked me who Hillsdale High was. I was extremely confused until she told me it was summer reading for them. When I said I was reading it for pleasure, she gave me one of those "There's no way you're serious!" stares and rung me up in silence. People who work in bookstores should be a little more open-minded, don't you think? Speaking of books, I finished The Shadow Rising and I'm already about two hundred pages into The Fires of Heaven. I think I may put it aside so I can read A Tale of Two Cities since I tend to enjoy classical writing to that of today for some reason. Enough talk (or typing, however you see it), I'm going to get back to the monotonous daily routine I've made for myself. Later, DS
