I have nothing really to say today. It's chilly today. Fall is definitely here and it's leaning towards winter. I've written 1 blog already. Today, I'm just looking over the grant, reading, and writing. I'm physched to pay off some overdue bills on Friday when I go to UMass. Today is kind of a sleepy day.

Dear NuTang,

Today, like too many days previous in a row, has sucked. I was supposed to go out and do some copy work as well as some bill paying but it was too icy to go out today and I didn't want to get into an accident in the van service or get sick from standing in the weather. Of course now, after I cancel all my plans, it's nice out. Isn't that just typical?

I feel especially bad today because it's World AIDS Day and this is the first time in 15 years I haven't done something to honor it. Although, I suppose even if it is a stretch, posting about it counts. I sent the art book to the copy man and I'm waiting for the copies to come back. I hope you all are having a better day than I am.

All I keep thinking about is that 25 million people died and I can't do anything to change that. Even if I could go back in time and eliminate the AIDS crisis, I would worry about disrupting the space time continuum and creating some sort of cataclysmic affect that no one can foresee. You know how that always happens in Science Fiction movies. Anyone seen The Butterfly Affect? Well that's all for now. Maybe I'll check in later.

Yesterday sucked. I couldn't go anywhere and my day assistant couldn't come in because the roads were too bad as she lives in a hick town. They apparently don't bother to plow. Today also sucked because I got a cold suddenly and that's just not fun. I don't know why I got a cold suddenly. I was fine one minute and the next minute I was sneezing my head off and blowing my nose all the time. My assistant said, "What happened to you? I go away for an hour and you fall apart!" I said, "I don't know what happened." But then I went and slept for three hours. I'll take lots of tylenol and hopefully kick this by Christmas. I loath the idea of being sick at Christmas.

Just when I think everything is looking up. I'm feeling better and hopefully I can get things done tomorrow, like going to the wheelchair mechanic, I logged onto a website I write for and see the word blizzard very clearly on the website's weather ticker. Just fabulous. What have I done to piss off the universe? I don't think I've been a particularly bad person. I've just been trying to get done what I need to get done and pay off some debt. Maybe the weather god's will smile on me tomorrow, but somehow I doubt it.

It snowed again and they canceled the disability van service rides. Of course, right after that the snow stopped. But it would have still been dangerous for me to go out, stand up, and get in a manual wheelchair to go home. My assistant who lives right across the parking lot slipped three times just walking to my house and she walks normal.
