got money
Thursday. 5.21.09 7:27 pm
Not that I will have it for very long as is always the case with me, but I got my disability bonus payment from the Obama administration. I may dislike the man right now, but I'm not going to refuse his money which means, I suppose, that he can't be all that evil. He just needs to get over all this power hungry bullshit (I'm not sure I can say that word on this website, but I'll try for investigative purposes if nothing else) and get back to his Chicago community organizer roots. Watching what happened to him kind of made me glad I never won any of the offices I ran for.

I think I'm getting a cold which is so bad right now because I'm off to New York City on Wednesday. But I took medicine and my voice is back enough to dictate this with no serious strain to my vocal cords. Let's see. What am I going to spend the money on? Hair stuff (including a hair appointment), bus tickets, printing supplies, and that's about it. If I have enough left over, I'll treat myself to a movie. I really want to see the new Terminator and the latest Night at the Museum. I also need to buy Shannon, my friends daughter, a New York City present I was just informed by her. That little girl is going to get spoiled but after all she's been through she's entitled to be a little spoiled. They have great free kids books at Book Expo America even though she's 13 she reads at a second or third grade level. I'm going to do a little shopping and see if I can find her something interesting for her age range on her reading level.

That's all for now. I will log in before I leave and try to post from New York City so you all know I'm alright. If you're going to Book Expo yourself visit booth 5060 in writer's row. That's me.

Books
Tuesday. 7.28.09 11:33 pm
I walked to the libarary to get library challenge tickets. I'm happily one third done with the challenge. So far, I've read a how to/self help, a mystery/horror, and and adventure tale. I'm reading 1984 for a classic novel (I don't like it as much). My memoir choice is Too Late to Die Young by disability activist Harriet McBryde Johnson, who died in 2008 at age 50. My book into movie choice is My Sister's Keeper. I need a love story, a book book a local author, a spy story, and a story set outside of the US. I hope I win the movie ticket raffle; you get 10 passes. I have lots of friends to take to the movies.
