I am up so early today. I didn't get any sleep last night; I'm serious, I got like 2 hours of sleep last night My poor assistant got about 4. I got out of bed at around 8:30 AM and I have been working since I woke up. I blogged; this is my third blog today. I completed my Micheal Savage letter and mailed it out, return receipt requested (of course, my mama didn't raise no fool).

I read 20 pages of A Room of One's Own at 6 in the morning. My insomnia was caused by needing to take double prednisone, which is never a good idea. But now, I'm back on my regular meds (two separate allergy drugs prednisone and hydroxizine), which is much happier for my body.

Now, I think I'm off to bed for a brief nap. Hope I Sleep.

I'm sending this fax the Iranian Mission to the UN (fax number: 1-212-867-7086). I'm assuming they are closed on Monday, because I assume they're closed on Monday due to the MLK holday.

I am a Health Educator living in the United States. One of my jobs is to teach people of all ages and religious backgrounds to protect themselves from HIV infection. I also advocate for funding that will help find better treatments and one day, God willing, a cure for this disease.

As both a health educator and I person concerned with global healthcare justice, including for the people of Iran, I urge you to reconsider the imprisonment of the of Alaei brothers, renounced Iranian AIDS researchers. The brothers were not attempting to communicate with an enemy government; they were talking to other AIDS researchers. Attempting to end a global plague that affects every person on the planet, either directly or indirectly, is no crime. No one should sentenced to die for doing it. The Alaei brothers deserve the praise of their government; not it�s punishment.

I finished one speech. I packed nothing because I'm afraid that I'll take down all my decorations and then not end up moving which would just depress me greatly. I have to clear up a misunderstanding with a friend on facebook. I was kidding and he misunderstood so did everyone else who read his profile. I answered a few questions on mylot. Overall, it was a pretty productive day even though my voice is still not back to par. I can still dictate and do what I need to do. However, I think I won't talk to people much outside of dictation today.

8:32 PM, East coast and I'm sitting in the dark. Honoring mother Earth. It's Earth Hour. 8:30 to 9:30, no lights and in my case no TV, although they said blogging was acceptable and encouraged it. So that's why I'm blogging away in the dark.

Called apartment places today. No luck. Everybody wants $1,000 plus! Wrote a story for the Story a month competition about this whole situation. Will call more places Monday. Hoping for the best.

Very glad in my PCA is here and hoping my phone doesn't ring. It would probably freak me out. I don't much like the dark. Fifteen minutes have elapsed as they say in Iron Chef.

I'm so sick today. I have an emergency OBGYN appointment tomorrow, because I am filling a pad every two hours and the toilet is still all red whenever I pee. That's probably too much info for you, but I wanted you all to know what was up with me in case I can't post for a few days (not that I'm expecting this, btw, don't worry).

They�re going to kill them. The AIDS doctors; I mean. According to the Short, Sharp Science blog posted yesterday. I�m outraged. I�m going to do something. I just don�t know what that something is. Any ideas, folks? I�m calling and faxing the government of Iran on Monday. I never did it the first time (sorry to admit, although I told tons of over folks, too and think many did; I was just too ill and sore). However, now I�m better and really going to help stick it to the Iranian government. I hope you will all help me, by phoning, faxing, and forwarding to your networks. Tell them why you are calling � something along the lines of, �I want to voice my objection to the trial of the Alaei brothers, on the basis that you have to communicate with other researchers if you want to cure AIDS.�

I am also going to conduct my own fax zap; and this time I really will do it, For people who don�t know what that means, it means either doing it yourself with your own personal fax machine or paying someone $20 or so to repeatedly send the same fax to the same number. I don�t have much money, but I figure doing this could count as my tithe for the month. You can fax, too � to 1-212-867-7086. The website in support of the doctors is requesting that after you fax or call, you email the doctors� support system at [email protected] so they know what you did. You can keep on the case by visiting Iranfreethedocs.org. I urge you to do something. However, small a step it might seem.
