I have been considering starting forums for the most popular communities. So far Inuyasha seems to be the most popular.

Do you think this is a good idea?

Do you have any suggestions for other popular communities to be added as a subforum?

kKaMa: Please do not "take" the name Animanga. While I don't have it trademarked or anything it is the name of my website and I don't want anyone who's been referred to my website to end up at a forum. Animanga is already part of a well established anime/manga/drama/etc. forum.

Why don't you just name the anime section anime?

As for your question about increase in members, probably. There's a lot of new people getting into anime/manga/blogging and how they get into it is by referral or by searching on the web. Most people don't like IRC/can't use it or have the space to download so they look for places on the net. Forums is a good place to find out where things are hosted and what's good to watch/read.

edit: You should also note that those people sharing anime and manga should only be sharing unlicensed work. It's one thing for dave to say he can't look over all the blogs in the community and know what they are doing, but forums is very different. Anime is a much more relaxed type of community, but manga has a very strong code of ethics. Either way they almost always give one warning before taking legal matters against those who are hosting.

It seems like a lot of work and I have no experience with the rules and how to run a forum! Sounds like too much work to me.

It's funny...Noob, Lykfe and Dscoil all go to the same school...Somehow that school is turning students into anime fans/geeks/etc. What's up with that?

since he was the first one to start in our school..
and i just got some tips from his blog..
any ways.. there are 3 more ppl in my school whoz using nutang and have no relations with anime/ manga..
p.s. dscoil doesn' have any mangas/animes uploaded.. he's some kind of random blog
