Chance is a cutie but he is way too crazy and his behavior is far too over the top. season finale of Prison Break left me on the edge of my seat. season finale of The Hills made me wonder what will happen next. new show premiered on MTV: Taquita and Kaui. it was cute. i am in love with my new Amy Winehouse CD. i love it!!!! i am still sad about that dog article in my previous post. which reminds me that i need to visit care2.com and put in my charity clicks. you should join too. then you can help the environment, and animals, and people just by clicking your little mouse! but yea... i have nothing else to say right now so imma go to bed. good night.! Monday. 4.2.07 5:48 pm  When puppies become 'bait' Mar. 29, 2007 12:00 AM We once thought that intentional cruelty to animals could not get much worse than throwing two tormented beasts into a pit, making them fight to the bloody death. How naive. The bitter, felonious "sport" of dog-fighting - a crime that thrives in this Valley - is but the cruel main event. Dogs must be trained to fight. And for that, the owners need "bait dogs." Long before the salacious crowds gather for their bloodsport, the animals must learn to use their teeth and claws to rip and tear at other dogs. They must hone their vicious skills. In the parlance, the fight-dog owners must know if their animals "got game." And, to train their killing dogs, they use what are known as bait dogs. Animals stolen from backyards or purchased as puppies through classified ads. Or, on rarer occasions, at shelters. "We see the (bait dogs) come in every day," says Kim Noetzel of the Arizona Humane Society. The dogs, she said, all have the "tell-tale signs of having been fought." The missing sections of their hides. The shredded muzzles and the leg bones broken in two by the massive jaws of a fighting dog that had been set on the "bait." By an animal that already has "game." The bait dogs are starved. They're beaten. They're made to make fury their natural condition, to attack on sight. But when they are put into a pit with a fighting dog, they are often chained. Often muzzled. And the fight dog is unleashed on them. For practice. They are bait. What can be done to stave off this hideous, already-illegal form of netherworld entertainment? Perhaps not much more than authorities already are doing, unfortunately. But county animal-control officials are aware of the problem, at least. And, more tangentially, the Legislature is considering broadening the legal definition of dog-fighting to protect animals other than dogs. The director of Maricopa County Animal Care and Control, Dr. Rodrigo Silva, and his staff are well familiar with the sort of people who seek out bait dogs. And they often turn away potential "rescuers" of impounded animals who they suspect may want them as bait dogs or fighting dogs. People who lurk in the subterranean world of dog-fighting tend to avoid adopting pups from the county, he said, since they generally dislike government agencies knowing anything about them. "These guys need a regular supply of bait dogs, so they don't want to be found in anyone's database," Silva says. The Legislature, meanwhile, is considering expanding state prohibitions of "dog" fighting to include all forms of "animal" fighting. Sick as it may sound, the dog-fighting crowd sometimes throws animals of other species into a pit with a fighting dog, apparently on the expectation that inter-species death matches are not precisely forbidden by law. House Bill 2610 would attempt to close that loophole. Alas, no legislation likely can protect dogs from being stolen from yards or purchased as puppies from private owners by people who will use them as bait dogs. Sometimes, our best weapon against criminals such as fighting-dog owners is simple awareness. You don't have to sell your pups to someone you suspect may harm them. Monday. 4.2.07 1:19 am why are you people so against ms. richie?? i love her but anyway...onto the topic of this blog i am an aqua teen hunger force fan and cartoon network said that they were going to show the whole movie tonight on cartoon network. so i get all prepared and ready and they show they first 5 minutes of the movie and all of a sudden the movie disappears into a little 150 x 150 box in the left corner of the tv. this is their april fools prank to play on people like me and i am so not tickled by it i am supremely pissed. but i must admit...they got me! they are showing the whole movie, you just cant make it out or hear it. jerks. Sunday. 4.1.07 1:31 pm it smelled sooo bad. so yea, that was traumatizing. i had to go to my moms baby shower yesterday. the cake was good. and i won one of the games! :) hoooray!!!! ummm...what else? my life is boring explosm seems to be on a God kick, if you will...  yea. i thought that one was pretty funny. i guess i don't have much to say currently. i mainly just wanted to let you guys know my dog threw up. but she's okay now. so bye all! Thursday. 3.29.07 9:33 pm i had the weirdest dream during my nap. it was..wow. yea i dont feel like explaining it but i wish it were true. ummm...i am in love with this song playing right now. little wing, jimi hendrix. its great. i love that man. what else... oh, im mad cuz i didnt get to see TMNT yet and i am really looking forward to that. still on spring break! my sister moved out finally. she's freakin old. i need to give my dog a bath because she looks yellow now because she's dirty. i sometimes really wish i had something real to say in these blogs but i really dont. have you ever had to pee but you dont feel like getting up even though the bathroom is like 4 steps away. well..thats my current situation and i probably wont get up until i absolutely have to. yes, i am that lazy. now that i am thinking about it i have been incognito, in the writing department, for the past couple of days. sorry about that :( i know you guys were anxious to read what i had to say...jk butchea...i was being lazy as usual. i have been posting my comics however so HA! speaking of comics... yep. so yea. im gonna go now. bye! ;) Comment!
