so i spent the weekend in tokyo. let me just say, that was fun. tokyo is just neat. you all should check it out.

so we all sat on the bus for 4 hours to get to tokyo. i was tired because i had to sleep. however, it was nice getting to tokyo. we met up with a friend up there. we went with him to places. then got lost a lot. but the experience was great fun. however i am so tired right now to write anymore about the tokyo experience, so i will continue that later.

it did not rain at all in tokyo! my rain dance, in my head, worked!!! yay for no rain the whole weekend.

Rain Tomorrow? Please No
Thursday, June 9, 2005
so today i had lunch with izumi outside in the playground. there were kids playing around the playground, not something you would see in virginas often. however i had my daily calpis, there was a toy in it...amazing.

sadly however, this mean japanese mother came over and smacked her kid like crazy and all, he was only like 5, poor kid. i felt sorry for him. we didn`t know what to do. especially me, i don`t speak the language so well, so if she cusses me out, i wouldn`t know it, or be able to bitch back at her...actually that is an understatement. i can bitch, even in foreign languages...just won`t be understood. my heart goes out to that kid. i don`t like to see children be beaten, especially at that age, poor kid. and the stinkin mother did it in public too...very not like japanese people at all...you`d think she`d contain herself, but no...not even when the other mother was like you shouldn`t do that...she`s like stay out of my business...mean people are not good.

so tomorrow`s weather is not going to be so pretty. actually a typhoon is right outside of japan right now. so we will be experiencing heavy rain soon. not looking forward to riding my bike at all in the rain! how do the japanese do it? i just end up being soakin wet when i get off my bike. tomorrow i will not wear something that will be see through when wet.

Getting Pants Dirty...Again
Wednesday, June 8, 2005
so once again, feeling a tit bored, but other than that, quite good. i had my fair share of japanese starbucks, which might i say is much better than the ones they have in america. here the whipcreams are creamy, and they have green tea frap, which is like heaven. i sit there and drink it like i`ve fallen in love. sadly, i dropped some on my jeans, and had small green stains, which weren`t that visible. i tend to drop stuff on my pants, or get it dirty...maybe i shouldn`t wear pants at all...are these signs that i`m getting?...

you are thistle
#D8BFD8

Your dominant hues are red and blue. You're confident and like showing people new ideas. You play well with others and can be very influential if you want to be.

Your saturation level is very low - you have better things to do than jump headfirst into every little project. You make sure your actions are going to really accomplish something before you start because you hate wasting energy making everyone else think you're working.

Your outlook on life is bright. You see good things in situations where others may not be able to, and it frustrates you to see them get down on everything.

Ikebana watching, Public Bath? no thanks
Tuesday, June 7, 2005
hmm, really does suck a lot when you don`t want to work, but you have to work. darn it i have to turn in this paper by tomorrow, so i may end up pulling an all-nighter.does not help me to be chatting while writing this paper. lol.

so today, i was with my host-mother while she was teaching people the japanese flower arrangement art, ikebana(na). i sat there and talked to people, watching them decorate the vases and stuff. it was neat, i want to do one soon.

then later, my host-family was like so where have you not been to in japan that is a japanese experience? they were like oh yeah, the public bath. i was like you mean the large tub/pool where people get naked and sit in the pool? they were like yes...i was like no thank you. i don`t think i can take my clothes off in front of people. who knows, they are insistent that i experience this japanese thing.

Feeling Stupid
Tuesday, June 7, 2005
writing papers in japanese is not fun at all. i`ve spent 3 weeks writing only 4 pages worth of stuff, well that`s also because i only spend like 2 hours a week on the paper. but then i switched over to english, then i got like a page in the last 30 minutes. should have been smarter and wrote it all in english in the first place then translate it to japanese. where was the smartness when i needed it?
