Today went ever so well!! I loved today!! Today was my loved day. lol. Well, I guess I'll just start from the beginning so I'll have more to write cuz I just LOVE writing! ^^ Let's see...Andy talked to me yesterday and told me Dexter would be picking me up at 7:15 right? well, I got ready and at exactly 7:15, he and his dad got into the car and I went to get my stuff. I waited for them to stop at my driveway and go pick me up...but they never did! They completely missed my house! So I called Andy, my mom already all hysterical because no one would be giving me a ride(it's so funny when she gets like that, as if the world were about to end) to ask him if Dexter knew he was picking me up. Andy replied with a He's supposed to. Well, I said, he JUST left...for YOUR house! Oh, he said . Well, I'll make sure he picks you up when he gets here. And so it happened, now I'm gonna be the little outcast in the ride to band camp. I feel bad, I only know Andy and it's Dexter's dad that's giving us a ride, I just feel like I don't belong and shouldn't be asking them for rides. Anyway, we went to the band room for a quick meeting and then the winds left outside for some basics and drill. We're up to the 8th move!! yea! It's really not as easy as I thought it would be to play and march at the same time, I think it'll help if I practice the music more. But it is just SO basic!! The show so far consists of moves we would of done ANYTHING for last year. :cries her heart out.: I'll get over it...once competitions start...yes, my whole happiness consists of competitions (and my Justin of course!^^)or maybe...we'll do so bad and the show will be just so stupid that the judges will give us bad marks in all the competitions we go to and just make me feel worse and give me more reason to hate the show and disagree with people who do like it. Anyway, After that the winds went into the cafeteria and the brass went to tecumseh and we practiced some music. Then we had LUNCH!! ^^ mmm nummy salad. Tomorrow I get to eat watermelon!! Marisela and I took Kelly (V) and Niki on a tour of the school. We were going back to the cafeteria when we saw Rachel giving Justin and Shantina a tour too! lol, it was such a wonderful coincidence lol.Well, after that we all gathered together in the ever so memory-infested band room and waited for 2 to come about. At 5 til Mr. Barker came in and told us all to skidaddle to the stage for a full band rehearsal. It was a good rehearsal, I bad-mouthed Niki and she bad-mouthed me back, Kayla joined in and then they started attacking me, mostly Kayla though at one point. It was great, another memory to add to my collection lol. I found a really ironic secret from Kayla lol. And after that?, umm...ah yes, we rehearsed in the stage and it started raining so we had to stay another 15 minutes longer and when we finally went back out it was UNBEARABLY humid! But we got used to it. I wished Andy and the rest of the baritones had gotten in bigger trouble for being idiots and splashing people with water from the water puddles. But they didn't. Mr. Barker had me count out loud for the 3 freshman flutes infront of me during one of the moves and I felt mature lol. not really, I just felt superior in a not show offy way. I messed up a lot though, so during the last few runs through I just marched and counted and won't play until I'm sure I've got it all down and have nothing to worry about. I want to make a marching band scrapbook!! Marisela and I said we would make one, but we never started it...maybe I'll take my camera tomorrow to the bowling night so I can take pictures and keep some memories. Everybody liked Xavier! lol, and Kelly recognized him from my last xanga post lol a loyal frequent reader XD. I love her to death, no matter how many times I say I hate her and want her dead....^^;; lol. I want my freshmen to have the time of their lives this marching season. I don't want them to look back at their freshman marching year and wish they had done more and been more outgoing. I want them to feel as comfortable as possible so they do everything they would like to do and not feel like they're doing something wrong or that they will be frowned upon. I lived my freshman year like that and I don't like how slowly I progressed into having friends and getting adapted to my environment lol. Well, after I got home from dropping off Andy and Dexter Jessica came up to me and asked me if I recognized a certain phone number, which I didn't. The girl that had called from that number turned out to be HEATHER!! We talked for almost an hour and on Saturday we'll be spending the day together so we can see each other before she goes back to Missouri. (or Misery as she likes to call it.) She took Japanese her freshman year and when she went to register to her new school she found out they didn't give Japanese classes there. She was pretty depressed :bumer.: After she left I ate and took a shower and cleaned Clyde's (my hamster) cage and his little rolley ball and he was a happy hamster......I hope. I didn't get to practice the music today....I just finished cleaning everything up and got on the computer. I can't wait till the bowling time thingy!! tomorrow at 7! Kelly and Justin and Shantina and Marisela are all going!!! I'm gonna be the happiest Mexican Maria EVER!!! lol. It seems I have written enough for today so I will leave you all to your business and see nearly everybody I know tomorrow! lol, so sad...most of my friends are in marching band...such a band nerd. YES, it's called band nerd...it changes once you convert to marching. lol MBL!!!

I think I have waited too long. I can't stand it anymore, if competitions don't start soon I'll kill myself!! lol I'm joking... I wouldn't kill myself like some insane person. The closest thing to competition that's coming up is the preview, which hopefully will include more than just the opener this year. I wonder if it'll be as cold as it was last year. It was so cold that I couldn't touch anything with my arms or legs cuz they felt like they were burning...especially when I put them in water. Almost as bad as I felt that one day in conditioning (which I might add I am not joining next year, it was just too boring and a complete waste of time if you ask me..freshman might find it a good way to get to know the 'veterans' and to get used to what'll be coming up during band though, so...knock yourselves out, freshies!). I hope the ballad and closer are better :sigh.: I'm just so unexcited about this year's show, it's depressing. Rrrrr! Anyway, Kelly, Shantina, Nate, Justin, and I went to watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory today! I was actually there before everyone else! lol, when Justin and Nate came out I was so scared my dad would ask me about them. He did, when we went home I just told them all that they were some friends Kelly and Shantina had invited. They didn't mind! phew! Band camp, band camp, band camp, band camp, band camp, band camp, BAND CAMP!!!! lol, I'm so excited. I'm gonna be waking up at 6 cuz it was Andy's wonderful idea to have his friend pick both him and me up. So we're gonna have to leave early(he's gonna be picking me up at around 7-7:15) to be able to go pick him(Andy) up and get to school on time. His friend lives right across the street from me, so there's going to be a time period when I'm alone with him, his dad, and an empty seat. I just realized I'm gonna have to sit next to him, if he doesn't decide to get his way again and have Dexter sit next to me! or even bettter, have me sit infront with the dad, so he can sit with his friend and enjoy the ride!! He's horrible to me! He loves having his way with me. Like the time we found out this one guy had a crush on me, he'd hold me against my will to have me 'wait' for him while he got off the bus. And he'd push me onto him!! He's horrible!! He's been ignoring me during marching band too. He talked to me once on the computer and asked me why I've been ignoring him all this time and that it must be because I'm changing!!? Since when is changing bad!? and he's the only one that seems to dislike my recent 'change'. Such a jerk, can't admit he's got problems. But he sure can come up with some stupid ones though!! There was a time when we claimed he had some kind of mental problem!! The nerve of him! Sorry, I'm mean, I shouldn't be talking about his horrible, unsupportable, intolerable bad deeds that only I seem to notice or be a victim of! Anyway...yes, I seriously can't wait till competitions. Oh and Justin made a VERY comfy pillow during the movie! ^^ We all stayed after the movie and looked at the credits like last time and found Justin's middle and last name like a million times and I only found Maria once. I saw Nathan about twice and Kelly and Shantina's name didn't come up at all...well, at least they have unique names! lol there are lots of Maria's...there are about 3 other ones at Jeff...that's a lot compared to being the only Maria during 8th grade...:sigh.: those were the good days! lol Well, I'm gonna go prepare my salad and everything else for marching band tomorrow!! Oh wait, it's not marching band anymore....it's......BAND CAMP!!! :dun, dun, dun!!!.: lol Bye'z, everyone. Love you all to death!

Oh goodness, I have almost nothing to say, and yesterday I feel like I had TOO MUCH to say lol. sorry about writing so much ^^. Well, we've learned the first 4 moves in the show! lol. It rained at around 2:30 and I was hoping there would be lightning too so we wouldn't be able to march outside (we keep marching in the rain unless it starts to thunder, during competitions they keep you going just the same so we have to get used to it). But NOOOOO it stopped raining and we went outside for 40 minutes of basics, learned a different move and added some little extras to the already learned ones, and then went through the pregame. Mr. Barker remembered me and was sweet enough to save me and everybody else who wasn't there in June a spot!! ^^ Unfortunately, I got to stand right behind this gigantic tuba player(who happens to be the most annoying person I've ever met) so no one will see me and yea. I REALLY want a job, I want to be able to pay off all the money I need for marching band next year, and my concert band dress, the cost for driver's ed, and stuff. RRRRrrr, Silas says there are two stores (Suncoast{which I really want to apply to} and FYE{which i wouldn't mind either}) that are hiring, but I have marching band and would not have enough time to....or would I? I'm gonna see if I can take Mari with me and check the stores out^^. Well, I'm gonna go.....finish my dot book. This guy that was to graduate in May(this past may) passed away when he was a junior. He was in marching band and played often on the streets downtown with 3 other guys. The marching band made a website in memory of him. I almost cried. I never knew him, but everybody that talks about him, talks about how he was such a great guy. He died in a car crash after playing downtown one night. The other three guys are still in the band and I'm not sure if they are or aren't still playing downtown. Just wanted to let you know, you never really truly know when your last day on earth will be so...enjoy every day. Have a good day/night. Love you all! Ria

Hey everybody, sorry I haven't been on lately, I've just been really caught up in marching band stuff. Well, the first day went fine. We had a meeting in the band room, went for 45 minutes of sectionals (a time when each instrument section goes and practices their music),then we all met up in the stage/auditorium and played together the pregame music(music played before every football game) and the opener of the show(the first song in the 3 song marching show including the opener, ballad, and closer)and finally we went out to the grid/parking lot to march our basics. I got weak. I wasn't used to moving so much in so little time, especially under so much heat(over 90 degrees) and had to sit out for the last few minutes of the practice and was going to go back in but they were already done so I just waited for all of them to go get their stuff and then I followed everybody back to school. Next day was SO much better! We had sectionals for the first hour this time, then we went for the stage and practiced another hour there, instead of going to the grid this time we went to the band room and Mr. Eifler (the choreographer)explained a lot of techniques and rules for us followed by the introduction of our dot books. We were left with only 45 min.s to march in the grid! ^^ Today was even better in so many ways. I woke up at 7:40 am and left at 8 for the eye doctor and got my contacts! Those suckers are hard to get in and out! goodness, I thought I would never be done, but to my surprise we were done by 9:30. At 10 we ordered some pizza and then I got ready for marching band and left. Kelly K. usually takes me to school and today she finally remembered to get me my belated birthday present!! It's was the most realistic feeling kitty I had ever held! I named her Kelly II after Kelly! ^^ And her mom got me some Dora the Explorer stickers lol! I've placed all over my marching band binder^^ We went to sectionals, stage, saw the opener, marched some basics, and were finally able to start on the opener!! Not like the music, but the march!! I was so excited! At the beginning we're going to be forming waves! (which reminds me, the title? Yeah, you'll be seeing a few different versions of that name including the word surfing in my entry titles in the following months!), but then the rest seems to get really boring and unentertaining :sniff.: I'm so disappointed. Oh yes, while we were marching, Kelly V's boyfriend walked up infront of everybody and sat there watching us, then when he finally got her attention he opened up a sketchbook he had taken and flipped to three different pages saying "Happy" "Third" "Day" LOL It was so sweet!! I laughed, I think I was more excited and taken away by it than she was lol. He's a really sweet guy, and she's a really cute kid, they make sure a wonderful couple! Oh, the third day thing referred to our third day in band...oh it's not camp yet...in marching band ....basics(?)!!lol Well, I'll write more exciting details later, right now I'm gonna go obsess over marching band. lol it will do that to you and I"ve been waiting since last October to be able to obsess again and no one will stop me!! Goodness, I feel so bad for those people who say marching band isn't fun and it's a geek/nerd thing and stuff like that...they have no idea what they're missing!! well, write to ya later!! MxBxL

Sorry I didn't write an entry for yesterday, I got a call, and well I didn't really want to hang up cuz I barely talk to the person who called. I want to be a fashion designer! ^^ I don't really want to be a fashion designer, as much as I want to be an artist. But, I don't want to sound greedy or anything, I want the money. I mean, when you're in college it's pretty much obvious you're gonna be responsible for paying more things and not be depending on your parents as much. At first I was thinking of Artist as my prime goal, but then I thought "I already have the skill down and if I were to go into fashion designing, I would have two useful talents. It would be awesome!! And especially for me who really likes knowing as much as possible as quickly as possible (by the age of 20 I would like to know more things than most people would ever dream I would know)I also thought, I could have a big career (one that would come in very handy too! ^^ if you ever can't find the right clothes to wear..I'll make them for you!!lol) and whenever I had free time, I could just draw and who knows maybe even make my own japanese manga! HA! but who knows? and maybe i'll even have time to learn how to play more instruments!! lol Well, yes. It's a good dream^^

As I said yesterday, there was a thunderstorm last night. There were tornadoes..fortunately, none passed through Lafayette. My dad bought my sister and me some lights to stick to the wall near our beds so we can stay up and not waste electricity. We planned on staying up as long as we could..we usually go to sleep at like 2:30am. It was about 2:20/25 when there was a loud crack and all the lights in the house went off. My sister got scared and I just stood there, I had no idea what to do. We hurried to our lights and turned them on (lucky for us, my dad had bought them just that night). Since the electricity was off, my dad's alarm wasn't gonna go off..so we decided to stay until the time his alarm usually rings to go and wake him up ourselves...even if it meant staying awake until 5 in the morning. IT WAS HORRIBLE!!! I thought I was going to drop down asleep. But I didn't and his alarm DID ring because his alarm was the CELL PHONE -.- I was horrified. I went to sleep and didn't wake up until like 1:30. When I woke up, the lights still hadn't turned on. They didn't turn on again until like 5 til 6. Justin called at like 2-3 and said he'd gone to the van warped tour in chicago or springfield or somewhere close a few days ago. He was talking about how he felt underdressed and that people were dressed scarier than him. lol, he went to a concert with all these incredibly awesome bands (including MCR!!!) and he worried about his clothes!! He's weird and I love him just the same lol. OOO I won zero_jak's 2nd contest!! ^^ wewt!! I'm a happy camper lol. Well, I have nothing else to say lol. so good-bye. ..;;*MxBxL*;;..
