A few words
"When we describe the Moon as dead, we are describing the deadness in ourselves. When we find space so hideously void, we are describing our own unbearable emptiness." ~ D.H. Lawrence "Is the meaning of life defined by its duration? Or does life have a purpose so large that it doesn't have to be prolonged at any cost to preserve its meaning?" "Living is not good, but living well. The wise man, therefore, lives as well as he should, not as long as he can... He will always think of life in terms of quality not quantity... Dying early or late is of no relevance, dying well or ill is... even if it is true that while there is life there is hope, life is not to be bought at any cost." ~ Seneca "People will tell you nothing matters, the whole world's about to end soon anyway. Those people are looking at life the wrong way. I mean, things don't need to last forever to be perfect." ~ Daydream Nation "All Bette's stories have happy endings. That's because she knows where to stop. She's realized the real problem with stories-- if you keep them going long enough, they always end in death." ~ The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes "The road now stretched across open country, and it occurred to me - not by way of protest, not as a symbol, or anything like that, but merely as a novel experience - that since I had disregarded all laws of humanity, I might as well disregard the rules of traffic. So I crossed to the left side of the highway and checked the feeling, and the feeling was good. It was a pleasant diaphragmal melting, with elements of diffused tactility, all this enhanced by the thought that nothing could be nearer to the elimination of basic physical laws than deliberately driving on the wrong site of the road." ~ Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita "It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend." ~ William Blake Think about it Musicalities! I just can't focussssss. :/ Yesterday I went to bed at 6 AM and woke up at 9 AM. CRAZY STUFF HUH? Heh. Had brunch with Casey, and saw Nathan, so I waved at him. Then, because of the state I was in, I ran over to him and asked him if he wanted to hang out. He said alright, so the three of us hopped on a bus and went to the city. Casey spent about twenty minutes in a comic shop with us, then had to leave for a play she's required to see. Ummm after that... what did we do... oh, we saw Zombieland in a pretty posh theatre. The tickets were horrifically expensive, but well, it is Manhattan so I dunno what to expect. It wasn't a bad movie, but it didn't make much of an impression on me in any way. 'Twas a bit gory for my tastes in some parts... After the movie we walked around, sat and talked for a bit, then ate at some place. He admitted that yes, he does have a crush on me, but no, he won't try to make a move on me. We agreed to just be platonic friends, even though he says long distance relationships very rarely work. Mm, headed home on the subway, and then went up to his room and ATTEMPTED (key word: ATTEMPTED) to play The Darkness. I failed oh so miserably. Like, I died twice in the first ten minutes. After that I just gave up. I think we talked about some other stuff, but I was getting sleepy so I went back to my room and got ready for bed, ate an orange, and slept.... at 1 AM. (Had to be on the computer for like two hours first... X|) That sounds bad, but it does prove that I can go to bed five hours earlier without much trouble. Although if you take into account the fact that I had a full day on three hours of sleep..... but we're not. Hey guys, I have some of those things called "pictures" today. This is Saeedah's massive bubble of gum. PANTS AND. Supplying all the pants and nothing you could ever need. This typo is only made more hilarious by the fact that this is a Catholic school. Keep off the grass, guys. Even if it's a tiny patch, and it doesn't look like anybody really gives a damn. Hell, the LEAVES aren't staying off the grass, and you'd think they'd be more sympathetic to the grass's plight, being plant brethren and all... Dunno if you can tell since this picture is a bit blurry, but there's a dude creepily and conspicuously doing some o'er-the-shoulder readin' there. Penciled rejection. Annnnnnd that be it I methinks. 5 Comments. I'm not doing school work either and my assignment is due on Thursday. Hope your midterms went well. » Nuttz on 2009-10-12 11:06:12 Nathan's a great friend, isn't he? Hitting on a buddy's girlfriend and bringing her to his room while his buddy is away...tsk, tsk. I should be attempting to study myself. But here I am commenting on your entry. ^-^ » Silver-dot- on 2009-10-12 02:07:24 oh, and... Now you know why I don't watch movies. =) » Silver-dot- on 2009-10-12 02:09:42 satan burritos. ha. I know that sank might get annoyed for me answering your comment on his blog, but that's okay. {sorry sank!} the way the dinner course works at the Melting Pot is that the broth isn't for dipping. your food actually comes to you raw and you cook it in the broth. so many minutes for each item until it's safe to take them out and eat them. » LostSoul13 on 2009-10-12 07:21:40 'sall good. oh, and that is a sweet bubble. also, is that place really called "pants and"? that sounds like an awesome store. it's as if to say, "we have pants, what more do you need?" » thaitanic on 2009-10-14 09:31:11
