Ciara Butches Up Like A Boy and... SOHH Soulful Top 5
Thursday. 2.22.07 1:26 pm
Last night Ciara's video for "Like A Boy" premiered on BET via "Access Granted."
Diane Martel who also directed "Promise" pulled together this lil video for CiCi which also features Reggie Bush of the New Orlean's Saints.
Ciara - "Like A Boy"
We all know about Luda's issues with Oprah and Bill O'Reilly as they have been labeled as "shit talkers" about hip-hop and racists. Luda's even gone as far as saying Oprah hates hip hop and she won't have a rapper on her show (except if they're an actor as well--like him). And he even gave O and Bill a shout out during his Grammy acceptance speech--likely to rub it in their face. He was robably still pissy about the way Oprah bumrushed him with q's about his rap lyrics when he was on her show to publicize his movie Crash.
With all that said, he was spotted performing at racist STD Hilton's b-day party over the weekend. And we all know he saw her videos that hit the net a couple weeks ago with her calling folks "n*ggers" and "f*ggots". http://ybf.blogspot.com/2007/01/btch-please-skaris-hilton.htmlAnd she's been known to do this several times and has been banned from parties because of it. So he can hate O and others for not liking hip-hop lyrics but he can support a racist white chick? A lot of folks are heated. And there's even a Boycott Ludacris petition circulating the net right now. Speak on it.... http://www.petitiononline.com/bubbles2/petition.html

Young Buck Keeps On Bucking The World! Plus, WTF? Jeezy, Lil Wayne, and Jim Jones Diss Atlanta, NYC, and Miami??
Friday. 2.23.07 3:09 pm
Ok, so Young Buck’s new video from his upcoming CD Get Bucked was released yesterday and to my fucking surprise, I actually like it. I’m sure you all know my high standards I have for Hip-Hop by my various posts. When I heard about Buck’s latest lyrical project, I immediately dismissed it, thinking that after the beat down he served to an Atlanta DJ would permanently sideline his career, at least as far as Atlanta was concerned.
However, Buck has come out swinging for his sophomore album with G-Unit. As previously reported by my dude Amani, over at myurbanreport.com, Get Bucked was filmed in this great city. Being a former marching band Tuba player, the tuba beat is fiyah.
I think the video is hot. Could Buck actually have a chance at securing a platinum album with this new track? I don’t know, only time will tell.
Check it out and tell me if it’s Poppin or Floppin?
Moving Right Along...
My co-worker and fellow blog writer Jolene “Foxylady” Petipas posted the new “Street Dream Tour” that will feature Young Jeezy, Lil Wayne, and Jim Jones that will launch in Charlotte, NC on March 3 and will wrap up in Los Angeles on April 29. But what I want to know is why in hell aren’t they coming to Atlanta, NYC, or Miami? They are scheduled to hit Macon, GA on March 18th but who’s driving all the way down to Macon. Based on Jeezy’s track record, he’s not good at concert appearances (oops did I say that out loud?) so I know I’m not driving down there.
And furthermore how full of themselves they must be to call it the “Street Dream Tour”. I don’t know about you but this wouldn’t be my street dream. My dream would be Jay-Z, Nas, and T.I. together on a tour. Or Ludacris, Outkast, and The Fugees would be hot too.
Is anybody buying tickets? STREET DREAM TOUR DATES
If you could pick any artists past or present, who would you pick to be in your street dream tour?
D-Rock Is Rocking His B-Day Party At Club Europe!!!
Friday. 2.23.07 3:19 pm
Yo, it’s going down at Club Europe tonight. I just got this email after getting in from the gym. My boi Ike Umar, who I used to work with, is doing his thing. He’s the successful owner of “Ikes Night Life” a club promoting company.
Now before you all start in on me. I realize that Club Europe isn’t where many black people hang out, but for D-Rock of the Ying Yang Twin’s, I think we can all make it an exception, right? T-Boz, Fabo from the Franchize Boyz, Joe Hamilton, etc.
Make it your business to be there, because I’m for damn sure rolling through.

Joe's latest video for "If I Were Your Man" is out.
After a little bit of back and forth Joe finally decided to name his new cd Ain't Nothing Like Me. He bantered back and for between Who Is Joe? to R&B's Ambassador to finally, Ain't Nothing Like Me.
That's actually the title of one of the tracks that features Yung Joc.
I'm kinda glad he changed the name, because you don't want to have a cd titled R&B's Ambassador when you're on the same label as R. Kelly.
Ain't Nothing Like Me has been pushed back to April 24th.
