ICP's Hallowicked Tour In Pittsburgh On 10-26-06
Friday. 8.18.06 7:34 am
First, let me start off by saying thanks to those who left me comments. You all really know how to make a person feel welcome into the community.

Second, before I get into my bit of info I wanted to say if you don’t like ICP don’t leave comments dissing them or me. I know a lot of people don’t like ICP and they shouldn’t. It’s not for everyone. But I’m not going to come on NuTang and talk bad about Metallica or Panic At The Disco because I don’t care for the music they do, that’s not what this place is for. Sorry for the disclaimer, but over the years I’ve run into several people that hate on ICP with little or no reason too. If you don’t like something that’s cool, just say you don’t like it and move on, don’t hate.

Ok, the Hallowicked Tour will be in Pittsburgh on October 26th, 2006. Being from North Central West Virginia this is the closest stop near me. It’s about a 2 hour drive. If you’re a juggalo and you’ve seen ICP before you know it’s worth it.

I just love seeing the Insane Clown Posse perform live. There are many reason like the awesome stage sets they have. Jeckel Brothers and Wicked Wonka stage sets were unreal. Another reason I like going is the “baptism of Faygo” at every live ICP show. You have to be a juggalo to know what I mean by that. But the main reason I go is the live energy from the crowd. The feeling the fam gives off in the pit. There is nothing like it. I’ve seen lots of other concerts, good and bad, rock and country, techno and rap, but I have never got the same energy rush that I get when I’m at a Psychopathic show.

Looking at the list of dates I notice that, like usual, there are no West Virginia tour dates. So if you live in the great state of WV here are some other dates that may be close enough to you:

October 24 2006
The Norva Theatre
Norfolk, VA

October 29 2006
Lifestyle Communities Pavillion
(formerly PromoWest Pavilion)
Columbus, OH

And of course I’ve always been told that there’s nothing like seeing ICP in Detroit for Hallowicked so if you want to check that out:

October 31 2006
State Theater
Detroit, MI

I’ve heard a lot of complaints over the years about ICP not coming to WV. I know we have a huge juggalo population here. I once wore my Twiztid shirt to the Morganton Mall for a free concert (not ICP) and juggalos were popping up everywhere telling me that Twiztid rocked. And one time a few years ago WCW held Monday Nitro in Charleston and there were hatchet man signs all over the building.

I don’t know the real reason they don’t play Charleston or Wheeling, but here’s a few possibilities. First, the venues may not allowing the launching of Faygo and if ICP can’t spray Faygo, they don’t play. Second, these cities compared to other cities in this state may have a large population, but compared to larger cities in some other states they don’t and there is really no way for Psychopathic Records to know how many people in these areas are juggalos, so WV gets skipped for a city with a larger population. I think Wheeling gets the bone because it’s so close to Pittsburgh.

Ok, I’m boring myself here, but I want to tell the story about why ICP doesn’t come to Huntington. A few years back, I think it was the Jeckel Brothers tour, ICP had a tour date to do a show in Huntington. I was thinking about going to it because I had just seen the Pittsburgh show and it was off the hook, but the 3 hours drive and the lack of funds prevented me from going. Anyway, from what I understand, the show was cancelled. Something to do with the venue not being big enough and when they tried to move it the second venue wouldn’t allow Faygo. Glad I didn’t go now. Well apparently the guy that owned the venue they were scheduled to play at had some kind of contract with them that said they couldn’t play anywhere else in Huntington until they did a show for him. So since that day Huntington ninjas have gotten the bone.

A couple years later I saw that Twiztid was scheduled to do a show at The Monkey Bar. While, it was listed on Twiztid’s website, it was never listed on the website for The Monkey Bar so I wasn’t sure if it was going down or not. They had a show listed for the day before and the day after, but they never listed Twiztid. And one of my best friends was living in Huntington at the time and was either too scared or just too lazy to stop by the Monkey Bar and ask if Twiztid was going to play there. I even offered to pick him up a ticket it they were. I never knew for sure, so I didn’t go. If anybody has the scoop on this let me know.

Well, if you’re still here with me, thanks for reading. Don’t know if I’ll get to update this weekend, so I’ll probably see you first of next week.

Finally, what you’ve all been waiting on…
