Around 10 a.m. this morning I went up to the Visual Art Center to finish my drawing for class. I bumped into Jose at the computer lab and he was looking at places that are showing "The Passion of the Christ". For Senior Capstone, we've been dealing with social and ethical issues in art. This obviously is the biggest topic to hit class. On a personal note, I'd watch it. I know it's going to be a strong movie...better pack tissue.

More on Senior Capstone, I have to work on my paper dealing with "Women's Issues in 20th Century Art". So far one of the primary artists I've found information on is Frida Kahlo. Here's a quote from her bio:

Frida, despite all of the hurt in her life, was an outgoing person whose vocabulary was filled with 4 letter words. She loved to drink tequila and sing of color songs to guests at the crazy parties she hosted. She loved telling dirty jokes and shocking everyone around her. She is one trippy woman! I think I'm going to enjoy this assignment.

There's a movie about her called...Frida. How original, eh?
