If you ask me, I say text her every now and then, keep in touch till the next time you see her.. That way, it won't be like "oh, I only exist when you're gonna be in town eh?" You don't need to talk too much, just enough to keep things real

OK so you probably won't like this, but I REALLY think you should take this easy. Be friendly, keep up with her, but don't go nuts. Something I heard recently that I think is REALLY useful is that the intimacy of a relationship should NEVER exceed the commitment. You just met. You're friends. So act like a friend. Otherwise weird stuff happens like people getting mixed signals, not being on the same page, being disappointed, etc. Probably a few things you can add to that list, am I right? Just try not to get too attached to her too quickly, especially if you're still reeling from Caitlin (you are.)

I think you should keep up a dialogue. Don't "just text on her Thanksgiving" that's ridonkulous. There will never not be hard work if you want to maintain a meaningful relationship with someone. Wish you could have gone on a date with her. Next time!

I agree with Steve-o. When I met Sharkboy at a random hostel in New Zealand he got my information but he just kept it really friendly and we became friends on Facebook. Then we just exchanged messages until we were back in the same town again. I got to know him intellectually before I had to make any decisions. It was great to take it slow. If he had wanted to go out that night, I would have shut him down. You can still talk about deep stuff over the internet.
