packing, Incubus, and feeling like a sardine!
Sunday. 7.22.07 11:42 pm
My life has been so super confusing lately that I haven't slowed down to write for a long period of time. I apologize for putting this off. I really do like it here, and I think it will be easier for me to write once I move and get a routine going, especially when I get to school.
So to catch you up on lately, I have been packing... and packing... and more packing. Soon it will all be packed and stuffed into a trailer to be moved to the capital. It's kind of neat to be going through my stuff and remembering all the memories attached. I've also been decently good at getting rid of things that really don't matter anymore and just cutting down what I have.
Working sucks, I have realized, but that's not something new for anyone, I'm sure.
I recently saw Incubus. It was a good show on their part, but bad planning on the show host. It was outside and with Hinder and multiple other bands that really aren't in the Incubus style of music. So my best friend really wanted to see just Incubus and we both have a dislike for the other bands, no offense meant, just personal taste. And I'm not even sure it's a dislike for the bands as much as it was the people that it drew out. People who were gross enough to take advantage of girls in a concert situation and girls unself-respecting enough to take it. I was absolutely furious with the people there, but it's not like I could get in a fight with the entire concert population. We sat through two bands in the middle of hell just to see Incubus. (Just as a note, I have gone to at least one concert every month since I was twelve, so I'm rather knowledgable about how standing in the middle of the most squished situation possible is survivable.) It was not pleasant, but when they started, I could see my friend was pleased. I tried to help a girl who was in a bad position and shouldn't have been in there because it was the worst I've ever seen and I'd guess it was her first time being in the first five rows. I leaned to the side to let her push off me because it was the only way I could find to lift her. Then the crowd shifted... and I fell down and then my legs were laid on by about ten people. I had to hit people in the legs and scream my head off just to get someone to grab my arms and yank me out of the entire situation. I haven't been more scared for my life like ever. For the rest of the time they played I just hoped and prayed that the concert no-nos being commited down there wouldn't kill anyone and we'd all get out alive. My friend got out of there too because she just couldn't breathe and we didn't see each other until we got to the car. So all in all that was a large failure in seeing her favorite band, unlike when she took me to see mine. Someday, I'll have to tell you about that, but that is a whole 'nother story.
Well, I have been writing for quite a while and I don't want to get annoying with massive posts. I still want you all to read them, so I better not get too carried away!! Have a great night ya'll!!

Some people at concerts are total poops. There is a such thing as mosh etiquette. I used to go to concerts on a weekly basis, but I started to get sick of the people that my favorite bands attracted.

I hope your next concert experience is more enjoyable.

I've never been to a concert. I'm DYING to go to one but I just haven't had the chance. :(

By the way, I've been wondering how to say "a whole 'nother" nonverbally for a long time now. You pulled it off quite nicely. :P
