Well, got another perfect score on my digital logic design test. I really need to talk with the professor and get him to give me some harder problems.

And no winner in the election yet though it looks like Bush is going to win. I wonder if Kerry is going to do the recount thing like Gore did or just call it quits. Either way they need to make up their mind, Bush is winning by over 130,000 votes, I don't think Kerry's got a chance.

But I think its good that the media didn't call states until they were sure. They left Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Florida unknown for a while until they were sure. Something they wouldn't have done last year. So I guess that's a good thing. I was watching election coverage last night and I just got so annoyed with it. The announcers on all 3 channels saying exactly the same thing over and over again. They kept referring to the same polls, and exit numbers, and analyst predictions, and I'm just like "shut up and wait for the results to come in! You'll know in an hour who won the state so don't sit there blabbing about you *might possibly* win, just be patient and you'll know for sure instead of wasting an hour of my time listening to who you think is going to win. I don't care what you predict, or expect. I care about what actually happens, the facts, the news!"

I hate it when these "analysts" come on tv and act like they have a flipping idea what's going on. And they give their "expert opinions" which I'm sure they'r paid a hefty sum to conjure up.

"Well Jim, it looks like the race is very close and we'll just have to wait for the final returns to make any kind of a call."
No shit sherlock.
Same goes for those "terrorism analysts" they have on the Today show and other sure news programs.

The new Bin Laden tape is out, let's go to our terrorism expert, Iwanna Jackoff. Iwana:
Thank you Bert. This new Bin Laden tape just released shows us that he is in fact alive and this might be a message to his listeners.

I could have told you that, and I don't have to wake up at 4 am to put on a suit and rush down to Rockafeller Center and pocket $1,000 to say it. And another thing, how'd we get out hands on this Bin Laden tape? Hmm? What about all the previous ones? I'll tell you. Each and every tape, video recording, audio file, and picture has come from Al Jezeera. That middle eastern TV studio that fronts as the "news" for the people. You know what CIA, NSA, FBI, if you want to catch Bin Laden why don't you track down the guy that gave the tape to the network!!! Someone's got to give it to them. I mean come on.

Do you have that girl in your class that is just so ditsy that you swear the only she got into this place was by screwing the entire admission staff? I have plenty, and they're all in my economics class. And they all sit in the front row. And they all are stupid. Every single there is always at least one, combing/styling hair, reading a newspaper, or text messaging. While class is going on! In the front row! And the teacher says nothing, probably because he just likes looking at them in the front row.

We were doing some problem and we had to compute 10/0.5 Which is 20. 5th grade max. *raises hand* "Umm... how do you divide by a non-whole number?" *SMACK* I sit behind this little ray of sunshine and wanted to stab her with my pen 20 times, just to get the point across. They're always asking for extra credit and all of them got below a 50 on the last midterm. How do I know what they got? You might ask. Because those blabbermouths made sure the whole freaking building knew what they got and why the "test was so unfair" and why "this class is just way too hard" and "like omgyg I failed." Serves you right.

And this guy in my digital logic design class, Michael. He's the genius I worked with at the help desk this summer. He's smart. He really is. But he doesn't go to class, ever. And then fails the tests and quizzes and complains to me how the class is too difficult. Well if you could drag your ass to class once in a while maybe you wouldn't be failing!

And that guy better be getting my papers ready for my new job. He said he'd have the paperwork in so I can start getting paid. But no. No paperwork. So I can't log any of my work so far as work. Can't get paid for it. Makes me not want to do anything more until he finishes it. Do you know anyone else who can learn PHP, ColdFusion, MySQL, and Fusebox in two weeks while carrying 16 credit hours? Cause if you do I'd love to see them try.

Bah, I just feel errrrr. It feels like at school I'm just going through the motions. Finishing the hw and going to class. Repeat. None of my teachers are motivating, save my digital logic design guy which I'm going to talk to. My circuits teacher, though funny and interesting, doesn't give me any reason to do anything in circuits. As he put it "there isn't a problem you're going to solve that hasn't already been solved before." Way to motivate me. Tell me that all my work is going to be replicating someone else's. Our math guy keeps drilling into me the fact that people that are good with numbers aren't good with anything else but them. Economics teacher, that you can get drunk every weekend, and go to sleep at 4 am getting back from a club every wednesday night and still make it as a University professor. Lot of motivation towards working hard there. And my discrete math guy is... well he's not doing anything.

If it wasn't for my own motivation and general fear of failure that keeps me doing my work. Like that line in Office Space "If I bust my ass and IniTech ships a few extra units, I don't see another dime." Same concept applied to school. You complete the analogy.

oh, yes
That last one from Office Space really got me. Same thing at Captain D's... a few more crab cakes doesn't get me a damn penny.
