i'm getting tired of these ridiculously intense workouts. i thought that as i got better at them, i would like them more. for some reason, i am just finding myself in pain and anguish during. it's always satisfying afterward, but i just wish i could eat whatever i want and not gain weight. it's so hard to lose weight. i feel like i'm trying so hard. i guess i'm just not very patient.

my dad told me that since i was an athlete when i was younger, it is harder to get back to a healthy weight again, because my metabolism went from intense (when i was fully active) to snail-like (when i stopped playing sports).

well that just sucks.

i really need to just live a healthier lifestyle the rest of my life, i guess.

...but where's the fun in that?

My boyfriend has had some similar issues. He used to have a much faster metabolism when he did martial arts, but when he stopped doing them and just ate crappy fast food for several months he gained weight and didn't realize he couldn't eat as much as he used to without consequences. Lot of stress over that.
