i never thought about this before, and it isn't the case in my personal life, but wouldn't it be weird to date someone who has the same name as a sibling? if i were in the dating world, then it seems like that would be an immediate elimination. especially since i'm a guy.

if somehow i ended up in a long term relationship with someone with the first name as one of my siblings, and we ended up getting married, if she took my last name then it would be almost identical to my sister's name, and that would just be plain wrong.

there are a lot of ifs there, but still. something to consider.

I never thought of that either until you said it. Though, it wont be quite the same situation if you are a girl but it still feels so wrong.
