Well, I just rediscovered this on my flash drive, and I thought it was cool, so here it is.

And here I thought becoming a freshman wouldn’t be such a big step.
Turns out it’s an enormous, colossal, gigantic step from 8th to 9th grade.
I have seven different classes like middle school, but unlike middle school, they’re not all confined to one and a half halls and a stairwell. I have to navigate two stairwells, three floors, and several different classrooms. Not to mention in five minutes without getting lost or bumping into a kid bigger than me and risking getting beat up.
The class I like the best right now is English. I was worried because I didn’t get Mr. Easter, but I like Mrs. Smith. She’s nice. I like Biology, too. Mr. Powell seems to like what he teaches. My least favorite class currently is Geography, but only because Mr. Gist compared me to Sarah. Said, ‘You have a lot to live up to!’ URGH! I’M NOT SARAH! But, whatever. He’s nice too, so it really doesn’t matter. This can all change again tomorrow. It was only the first day, and who knows?
In German I feel like an 8th grader sitting in on a high school class. There are practically no 8th graders in that class. I’m sitting next to a junior who thinks he’s the king of the world, even though he’s a total dip. He cusses and acts all cool when really he’s just an idiot. I dunno. I reserve judgment. Scratch that bit about me being mean.
High School is not a step from Middle School. It’s a leap.
Awesomely yours,
~E
Haha, my brother is having the same problems. I guess some people just don't adjust as well. Personally, I thought highschool was easier than middle school in the first year, but that's just me...
