i couldn't take it anymore, the project was just killing me, burning my braincells and making me cough out blood. i was about to write an email to her when i decided to ask godiva (my friend, that's not his real name, its to protect his identity) for some bombastic words. he offered to help me with the email, and here's what he came out with. We have been rushing on the first brochure since June and thank god we are nearing the last leg before we go into production.

I must say it has been hectic these past months.

Before we move further I need to know the absolute timeline for the rest of the 24 brochures. When we met for the first briefing, we were told as from June till Sept, a total amount of 6 brochures are meant to be printed. But,so far none has gone into press.

The first brochure is taking far too long 2 1/2 months to be precise. Is this working process and timeline indicative for the rest of the 24 brochures. Because if it is, I wont be available to see thru till the last brochure is printed.

Based on the premise of 6 brochures in 2 1/2 months, we have already allocated 4 months for this whole project.

But based on how the first brochure has been handled taking 2 1/2 months it seems that we need 5 years till completion!

This is something i cannot commit.

The brochure is very labour intensive. 2 illustration, 20 icons and 80 pages layout.

Another issue. The ICONS. When we agreed to throw that in for free our expectation was around the range of 5 icons at the most. We had to do 20 icons for the first brochure. 20 icons!. That is massive. 20 icons for free, x 24 brochure, we are looking at 480 FREE ICONS. We need to sit down and discuss this further. We need to come to a compromise and work out how many icons will be for free and how many will be chargeable.

Our charges on this project is more than modest, extremely modest if I may say so. At $---- inclusive of 2 illustrations, 20 icons and 80 page layout. Our cost is a steal.

How the first brochure has been handled will be deprimental on all involved in this project.

We need to a post-mortem, we need to move faster and work smarter. Please call me when we can discuss.
