weird uncle
Tuesday. 9.14.04 2:34 pm
after school today, i was walking with my classmate to the MRT station, and we took the same train even.

Then we were talking about the ... *ahem* education system in singapore, india and in the united states & about the internal security of each country. never in my lifetime did i imagine that i will be in such a serious topic. maybe its time to grow up, or grow old rather. we agreed that singapore is the safest place to stay in, but the american education system is way better and interesting than ours. boy, do i feel so brainy now. did you see the light blub glowing behind my head?

anyway, after we both split, i went to the esplanade again. whilst walking there, i stopped over at the bookstore at citi link. i was looking at some children's books when this plumish uncle asked me.

uncle :you teacher ah?

me :me? teacher? *silly giggle* no way.

uncle :*suddenly turns to the left & spots this shelf over piled with books that was going to drop over any minute* you becareful ah! this shelf going to drop over. *nag, nag, complain complain*

me : ok, i will be careful. thank you *but i am no where near that shelf*

i continued to look at the books and 5 minutes later the uncle came back with a sale assistant. *complain, complain, nag nag* you shouldn't put so much books here, they are going to drop any minute. wait hurt people how?

me : (-__-)|||

but WAIT! that wasnt the end! and so, from citilink, i walked to the library at the esplanade. after 15 mins of looking for tango music (which after i found it, the fine print said not for loan)

then suddenly! i heard the most familiar voice of the day!

uncle :hey! you again! *hehe* such a small world! you walked here also?

me : (-__-)||| hehe hallo again. yes, i walked here.

uncle :you also like music?

me :yes, yes. :)

uncle :what kind of music are you looking for? *points to behind me* there got somemore, and they also have music scores

(note that, as a premium member of the library, you can borrow classical music cds which i have 0 idea about)

me :hehe, you see me too highly lah, i can't play any musical instrument.

uncle :really? dont lie. you look like someone who can play an instrument

me :no, really, i seriously can't play

uncle :*tells me some of his history* apparantly he can play the piano quite well, from what he says.

uncle :by the way, which country are you from?

me :huh? me singaporean

uncle :oh really? you don't look like one. :)

and then he walks away. i did wonder if he was stalking me. *lol* but i don't think i am that appealing so... i told myself, that's alright, i made a weird uncle friend today.
