It is argued that the engineering world isn't always the most conducive to broadening one's social horizons. What it does do, at least as a result of recent projects, is expand one's contacts to the world of industry. Suddenly, I have a million (minus a million and plus, maybe 20/30) accounts with various companies because this semester I've had (and will continue to) to buy multiple components for my semester long project. I'm beginning to feel like I'm spending more time perusing company product websites than hanging with friends. It's almost ridiculous. My social life...isn't really a social life anymore. I'm beginning to make friends with the capacitor drawers at RadioShack. We have a coffee date this weekend. That's how many times I've been there this semester.
