this weekend was awesome!!! so much happened:
it started friday night when michael and james came to orlando. we just kinda had a chilled out night. james needed his rest for the next day.
saturday was the day that james had his kickboxing fight. james actually studied muay thai but they don't really have those competitions in florida, but this was close enough. so we drove from orlando to tampa and stopped at a cracker barrel along the way for breakfast. the trip took us roughly an hour and a half minus the stop. before any of the fight james had a cool, calm attitude. as the fights progressed he got more nervous. i think what did it is when he saw one of his good friends get beaten. this competition was heated.
so here's how james' fight went. each round was 2 minutes long with 1 minute breaks in between. there were 3 rounds per pair of fighters. they were placed together by weight. james kinda got screwed because the guy that he was paired with was a little bigger. within 30 seconds james got a bloody nose. it wasn't cute. then the ref asked him if he wanted to continue. he said yes. even tho his coach said no. but the fight went on. seconds later the boy was on the ground. after 9 counts he still didnt get up and quit.
even tho he didn't finish his fight i think he was still a soldier. even tho his friends told him not to fight the guy since he was bigger he still wanted to try. and even thought he was bleeding he continued. so he did good for his first fight. even tho there is more to come. plus he'll get better i'm sure.
so on sunday james and michael wanted a tour of UCF. so we had our breakfast, saw a movie, ate lunch, and toured UCF. on our expedition we took james' camera. we took lots of pictures. they just all rand0_m. they more like "funny" pictures. we were at UCF for hours. we just walked around and took pictures. we ended the day by playing rummi. it was tight i won the all or nothing match. i had begginer's luck on my side.
the whole weekend was awesome. i had fun and i hopr james and michael had fun. i would definetly do it again.
