Barack Obama gives me hope in this country. He moves forward as our nation's 44th president with the precedence for change in this country. We can only hope that he can provide this change or at least put the wheels in motion to change this great nation.

His speech was very moving to me. It is the first inauguration that I have ever watched and the first that I have ever paid attention to. I am glad that I got to witness this history live on cnn.com. It was amazing to see all the people that showed to watch this man make history. It is an amazing sight to see this country coming together in these tough times and be thankful that a man like Obama can change this country. He already has.

Like he said, "There is work to be done." He is absolutely right. Not just by him but every American. We all have to work together in this nation to make it a better place. Not one single person can change, it will take many to change. Mr. Obama also referred to the time of petty differences and false promises. The nation is ready to move on from the things that Mr. Bush has done to this country and look forward with our heads held high. Only time will tell what he really can do for this country, but in my opinion he has already done so much just to change the face and hope of this great nation.

So i am prepared to watch and see how this country comes together under the direction of Mr. Barack Obama. And we will see how the hope and determination of one man can change a country.

This was also the first inauguration I watched as well, and I was definitely moved, his speech gave me hope that if I work hard, I can see the same success as him. I've always thought about giving back to my community, now he really wants to see some action. He has done a lot already, people can't use the same old excuses for why their not doing good. Obama has seen what most of us are going through today, so we can relate to him. I hope he does good but I know there is going to be people waiting for him to fail. Like he said he can't do this by himself, he needs our help.

And people who don't like Mr. Obama are just flat out stupid. I mean that. And most of my friends and family don't. And yes, I'd say it to their FACE.
