You are given a 5L and a 3.5L bottle.

How do you obtain 3L of saltwater by only scoping twice (using any of the bottles) from the sea?

Tough, right!? :P

Thanks for the riddle, Jasmine!

The answer shall be revealed shortly...

Not too bad.
- Fill 5L bottle (5/5; 0/3.5)
- Transfer exactly 3.5L to 3.5L bottle (1.5/5; 3.5/3.5)
- Dump out 3.5L bottle (1.5/5; 0/3.5)
- Transfer all water to 3.5L bottle (0/5; 1.5/3.5)
- Fill 5L bottle (5/5; 1.5/3.5)
- Transfer water from 5L to 3.5L until 3.5L is full, i.e. transfer exactly 2L to 3.5L bottle (3/5; 3.5/3.5) --> 5L bottle now contains exactly 3L of seawater

It would seem that your latest riddle isn't allowing me to view the comment page to the blog.
Anyways, it took 3 pieces of paper to solve but I believe it is the German who keeps fish as a pet.
