WHO SHE IS ... WHAT SHE CAN PERFORM
Tuesday. 3.25.08 10:46 am
ariel was requested to perform with the rest of her class in a show and tell time for her speech and drama class.

As usual, she was excited and happily nodding her head that she will perform for us to see.

When the time came for the performance to begin, she would suddenly switch to her shy mode and stop performing altogether... while the others ran in the show, she would crawl and react very slowly...

As much as we hope to help her to come out of her shell and be bold to perform by constantly encouraging her, we always seem to fail when the show begins...

disappointed as we are initially, God showed to my wife and eventually to me that WHO SHE IS is more important than WHAT SHE CAN PERFORM...

towards the end when the rest of the kids are readily picking up their handiwork of a rainbow to perform, she was taking a long time picking it up because she took the initiative to help another girl to find and pick up the rainbow that she dropped and lost among the cushions...

WHO SHE IS brings us more joy than WHAT SHE CAN PERFORM...

we are very proud of you, Ariel! even if the world thinks otherwise!
