Retain Section 377A!
Friday. 10.19.07 10:27 am
I just signed a petition to support the Government's decision of retaining Section 377A that forbids sexual acts among homosexuals. Here's the comment I added when I signed the online petition:

As a school teacher and a father of 3 children, I strongly support the Government's decision of retaining S377A to provide the next generation with the right perspective about marriage, sexual intimacy and a healthy family structure that would bring up a new generation that would give birth to future generations in our country that is already facing an aging population problem!

If you are also not for the idea of allowing such unnatural acts to happen in Singapore, please join me in signing the petition as well! Click on the link below to go to the site.

Keep S377A!

377a
Hi, you would probably still think I'm wrong but this is my 2 cents worth. I understand that sexual intimacy should be about procreation but you do realise that repealing 377A will not change the fact that people don't wish to have children because of reasons such as higher cost of living, change in lifestyles and so forth. Banning the use of contraceptives and abortion would, perhaps do so but, they are not illegal. Unacceptable in the eyes of God but perfectly legal in most countries. Isn't abortion unnatural as well? I too believe that such is wrong and unnatural but, I don't see the need for my faith to 'impinge' on others. As much as God hates such acts, he has gives us freedom and does not force anything upon us.

i agree with you about the points you brought up. my main goal for keeping 377a is not so much for the procreation reason. it is more for perserving our core values for the next generation. we are actually not impinging our faith on others by doing that. we are only doing our part to prevent our next generation from growing up in a confused and unnatural society. what we can do is limited but we must do it still as it is our responsibilty to provide the best for the next generation. evil flourish when good men do nothing...
