Friday. 6.29.07 4:53 am the first week of school is so hectic that the moment i step into school, i am lost in the sea or ocean of work that I never stopped working until it was evening every day, missing lunch and breakfast on most days until i managed to grab a bite at the late afternoon... sadly, most of the work do not involve interactive time with my students... i only managed to say hi and bye to most of them... wished i could just sit down and catch up with them and also with my fellow teachers...sigh... when i reach home, i told myself that i must not touch any of my work anymore... the rest of the day must be reserved for my wife and kids... though i feel guilty and stressed that work is not completed (it will never anyway), i must not sacrifice my precious time with my family to be so "professional" about my job. sometimes it's really hard and things get delayed and overdued but if i dont block out time with them, i never will... and by then, they would have grown up without the presence of their father or husband... by the time i put my kids to sleep, my hope of catching up with my wife is slim cos i will be dead exhausted by then... as in i can fall asleep in 1 sec flat... and I can literally sleep anywhere and in any posture (sitting and even standing!) at home... i have to try very hard to really keep my eyes open... maybe i need to do an eye sugery to remove my eyelids (like the goldfish) and my eyes will always be open... :P ok, it's time for me to get back to work... i hope to eject from this cockpit seat soon... 1 Comments. Hahaha. I'm not sure that removing your eyelids will keep you awake! Fish need their sleep too ya know! » Someones_Muse on 2007-07-02 05:51:52
