So it occured to me yesterday that i was fully aware of the island of New Zealand but never ventured to conisder the possiblity that the "new" of New Zealand has any relevance to history. That is I never realized that for there to be a New Zealand there probably would be an Zealand or even an Old Zealand.

It turns out that Zealand is an island of eastern Denmark bounded by the Kattegat and the Baltic Sea. Separated from Sweden by the Oresund, it is the largest island of Denmark and the site of Copenhagen, the country's capital. Fun Fact of the week.

I want to learn the language or Romanche. That way, I can say it in school and when people question me, I can say ' I speak the language of Romance.. ' in a cheesy latin accent.
