Ever since i moved to Glassel Park some 10 years ago there was a women that my block referd to as "The Pot Lady." When ever there was noise in the neighborhood- real or imagninary she whould come out of her house and bang all her pots and pans together. Now The Pot Lady is well into old age, but even in her late 80's she still finds in nessesary to bang her troubles away with metallic cooking utensils. No police man dares to disturb her anger and fury for she is not known to cease on call even to the authorities. BANG! BANG! CLANK! CLANK! Beat your burdens with a frying pan! Hours and hours on end. No sound shall exist except her own.

Many of you may know that i am on the verge of becoming a meadiocre electirc bass player. One Characteristic of electronic bass playing is the amplifier. The amplifier is an electronic equipment designed to increase the strength of signals passing through it. The signals that are passed through it by me happen to be of sound; vibrations transmitted through an elastic solid or a liquid or gas, with frequencies in the approximate range of 20 to 20,000 hertz, capable of being detected by human organs of hearing. The amplified vibrations of the bass do not mix well with the attatchment to the absence of sound in the aging mind of the deranged.
