4 Comments. Oh my. At least you didn't break it, haha. My friend has a dell, and she brought it to me to back up all of her data when it was flipping out and she couldn't boot it. I took her hdd out and put it into my laptop, and got her stuff off of it. She tells me later that she's telling dell support that I took her hdd out, put it in my hp, and got her stuff off of it and reformatted it, there's no way the hdd could be broken. The dell people told her that you couldn't put a dell hdd into an hp. When she told them she sat there and watched me do it, he put her on hold while he went to check with his supervisor to make sure it was possible...
