So tonight was the "pageant" to find Mr. Northwestern at my highschool. I was a contestant.

First off, I did not win. And that's OK because, frankly, I didn't expect to.

For my talent, I danced the scene from Napoleon Dynamite. Or at least the first 90 seconds. So that was fun.

Actually it was a LOT of fun. I must be an attention seeker. Just look at this blog. Anyway, I hammed it up like crazy. Best Napoleon impression ever, I think. Oh yes.

I'm OK, everybody. AS FAR AS YOU KNOW.

I was gonna say something else but I forget.

What is this about making all my dreams come true. Where is my viking stronghold. Where is my David Lo Pan going up the down escalator in a giant hamster ball. Where is my scary faceless clown with twisted grey skin instead of features.

Nevermind, I don't want you to make my dreams come true.

Dang misleading title. I was expecting a dance number from 500 Day of Summer to "You Make My Dreams" by Hall & Oates. Failing me, stevo. But I guess Nappy-D ain't so bad either! Lol for some reason I can see you doing that...not like in a creepy "I SEE YOU STEVO" kind of way, but you just seem to fit the role.

Man...so you were in a pageant, what's next? Host a game show?

At our middle school talent show, "The Worm" had just hit the streets (figuratively) and we had multiple male contestants doing it. :/ Nothing kills your act like following the guy who did exactly what you were going to do.

(Though I could never do the Worm nor had extraordinary performance skills at the time. I was in the audience.)

Yeah, dude. It's total BS. Like I was saying to someone before: Our relationship is intimate, but it isn't in any way sexual, and yet, sometimes there's this fine line between the two that most outside observers to the friendship in question cannot discriminate.

Not that it is any of their business to discern the nature of the relationship anyway. Why can't the default just be, "Oh, they're friends" and leave it at that?
