You Smell Funny
quote for the day
"You see things; and you say, 'Why?' But I dream things that never were; and I say, 'Why not?'"
"A lifetime of happiness! No man alive could bear it; it would be hell on earth. "
-- George Bernard Shaw
song of the moment
The Hand That Feeds
You're keeping in step
In the line
Got your chin held high and you feel just fine
Because you do
What you're told
But inside your heart it is black and it's hollow and it's cold

Just how deep do you believe?
Will you bite the hand that feeds?
Will you chew until it bleeds?
Can you get up off your knees?
Are you brave enough to see?
Do you want to change it?

What if this whole crusade's
A charade
And behind it all there's a price to be paid
For the blood
On which we dine
Justified in the name of the holy and the divine

Just how deep do you believe?
Will you bite the hand that feeds?
Will you chew until it bleeds?
Can you get up off your knees?
Are you brave enough to see?
Do you want to change it?

So naive
I keep holding on to what I want to believe
I can see
But I keep holding on and on and on and on

Will you bite the hand that feeds you?
Will you stay down on your knees?
'tis only tuesday

Well, after a whirlwind weekend, it's back to the boring work week.

I got kicked out
I was kicked out of my own house on Friday. Can you believe it?!? Since when is Sandy’s family more important than me? Ahem, I say never! Friday morning I was told that Kevin had been informed I was staying at his house for the evening. You know, if I would have known all those people were staying again, I would have offered to leave freely.

A good weekend anyway
despite such thoughtless treatment, the weekend turned out all right. I left work early because I had nothing left to do. I proceeded to grab all my crap and was at Lindsey’s by 400pm. I played with the puppies and settled in to watch King Arthur and take a nap. Well, as it turns out, the movie was really surprisingly good. (Not to mention Ioan Gruffund and Clive Owen were in it) so no nap. Lindsey arrived just before it ended with a bazillion more movies. We watched hitch and most of sideways over a pizza. I slept in a little on Saturday, although I wish it could have been more. Then it was time for intense discussion about why john couldn't live with Kevin and Lindsey. He’s going to be pissed when he finds out. Lindsey and I went to see Charlie and the chocolate factory. It was excellent, much better than the misrepresentative first. Then there was lunch at Chili's. After the fun, I went back to chuck's to drop of my junk and change. Then it was off to look at school books and baby-sit. Sunday I did nothing.

School books
at the book store - genetics = $86.50 genetics sol'n manual = $33 O chem book and sol'ns manual together = $209.10 econ wkbk = ??
On Amazon(s&h included) - genetics = $53.14 genetics sol'n manual = $15.23 O chem book = $102.48 + $73 (sol'n manual that will still have to come from the book store)
so, I have to take back the genetics books I bought on Saturday. I didn't those two would make a huge difference online, but turns out, Amazon is better every time.

The new h3
I have seen pics and stuff before, but today I drove right up close next to one. They are pretty cute little guys. Definitely the more chicish version. Like an over sized SUV. Or an excursion, but cooler looking. Less wide and a little shorter than the first, so I’ll bet this one actually fits in parking garages. And a whole lot more affordable...

Movies to buy
I have a number of movies on my list now, and it could mean trouble for the bank account. both Bridget Jones' Diary, King Arthur, Finding Neverland, Dodgeball, Phantom of the Opera, Ocean's 11(still) and 12, The Incredibles, Leon the Professional, The Ring 2(aug), Sin City(aug 16). And that's just the ones off the very top of my head. I'm sure there are many more

evicted by your folks? =(
I usually search those used textbook comparison search engines (like campusbooks.com) when I get my books. and so, my collection of textbooks that I've been meaning to sell all have the LPE (low price edition) sticker on them w/ the "only for sale in india, ..." disclaimer
