You Smell Funny
quote for the day
"You see things; and you say, 'Why?' But I dream things that never were; and I say, 'Why not?'"
"A lifetime of happiness! No man alive could bear it; it would be hell on earth. "
-- George Bernard Shaw
song of the moment
The Hand That Feeds
You're keeping in step
In the line
Got your chin held high and you feel just fine
Because you do
What you're told
But inside your heart it is black and it's hollow and it's cold

Just how deep do you believe?
Will you bite the hand that feeds?
Will you chew until it bleeds?
Can you get up off your knees?
Are you brave enough to see?
Do you want to change it?

What if this whole crusade's
A charade
And behind it all there's a price to be paid
For the blood
On which we dine
Justified in the name of the holy and the divine

Just how deep do you believe?
Will you bite the hand that feeds?
Will you chew until it bleeds?
Can you get up off your knees?
Are you brave enough to see?
Do you want to change it?

So naive
I keep holding on to what I want to believe
I can see
But I keep holding on and on and on and on

Will you bite the hand that feeds you?
Will you stay down on your knees?

well, an hour ago anyway. so, it is again the weekend. and we love the weekends. i went to see sin city tonight with jess. i was quite impressed. the cinematography was awesome. definitely worth the chewing out i will get tomorrow from danielle. yeah, i skipped out on her and the lambda chis to go see it. i mean, i see those guys most days of the week, but i don't get to go to the movies all that often. have lots to do this weekend though. planning on working tomorrow morning, going to the gym in the afternoon. then i have to call all over dallas to find storage places. make copies and mail tax return. go babysit. do calculus. do spanish workbook. prep for spanish test on wednesday. start chem-lab write-up. do financial aid crap. read biology. format biology powerpoints. go to lec to find out about eco professors. plan out next semester's schedule. do my laundry. and watch grey's anatomy on sunday. i think that's it though. so it shouldn't be too bad. nothing really hard that has to be done. just a bunch of stupid little things that take up my free time. but there will be lots of sleeping. and it will be awesome. my dad is coming to see me in two weeks. well, actually, he's coming for something else, but he is going to come see me on friday while he is here. and i am going home on the 28th because it's my mom's birthday. and i get to stay until sunday i think. so that will be a nice weekend. i have to remember to study for spanish though. my final is that monday. it's so weird to already be thinking about finals. they are in 5 weeks, and already i am nervous. i need to kick ass on the calculus one, but i don't know if that will be possible. and then there is wonderful chem. thank god the only difficult class i am taking next semester is organic chem. no more math until junior year. and then it is just statistics. and i can handle that. oye, college, studying...it sucks sometimes.
and here is a picture of my dad and the little angus baby at christmas....just for your viewing pleasure.
