You Smell Funny
quote for the day
"You see things; and you say, 'Why?' But I dream things that never were; and I say, 'Why not?'"
"A lifetime of happiness! No man alive could bear it; it would be hell on earth. "
-- George Bernard Shaw
song of the moment
The Hand That Feeds
You're keeping in step
In the line
Got your chin held high and you feel just fine
Because you do
What you're told
But inside your heart it is black and it's hollow and it's cold

Just how deep do you believe?
Will you bite the hand that feeds?
Will you chew until it bleeds?
Can you get up off your knees?
Are you brave enough to see?
Do you want to change it?

What if this whole crusade's
A charade
And behind it all there's a price to be paid
For the blood
On which we dine
Justified in the name of the holy and the divine

Just how deep do you believe?
Will you bite the hand that feeds?
Will you chew until it bleeds?
Can you get up off your knees?
Are you brave enough to see?
Do you want to change it?

So naive
I keep holding on to what I want to believe
I can see
But I keep holding on and on and on and on

Will you bite the hand that feeds you?
Will you stay down on your knees?
it is finished

yup, spring break is over. or at least mostly over seeing as it is sunday. but it was a nice week nonetheless. altough awfully busy. my only free time between tuesday and today was on friday morning after i took the dog to the vet. then i had three hours of sleep and my brother made me lunch. i can't for the life of me remember what i did on wednesday either. i know i was busy because i can remember running around all day, but i can't think of anything i did between when i woke up and 5pm. i did lots of shopping on thursday though. and it was nice. i only bought three things, but i surfed the entire galleria. and then i went shopping again this afternoon. i also talked to my mom about my summer plans. and she totally supports the fact that i want to come home for a little while. obviously i have to talk to chuck first, but i think i am going to spend the first half of the summer at home and the second half back here in dallas. i'm so excited!! i was so afraid that she would just tell me i really need to stay up here and save up some money.so now i just have to make it through the mext month and a half. i also have a new goal for the end of the summer. i want to run a 5-k. i used to run a lot, but i never really trained for a race, so now i try that out. i'm a little nervous about trying to figure out how i want start, but by the end of the summer, i would really like to have run my first 5-k. scary, isn't it? and with that, i'm out. i have to study bio.

Well I'm glad you had a good spring break. I'm sure it would be really nice to go home for the first half of summer. It probably would make things easier on you stress wise to have a nice break there. A 5-k huh? I'd be nervous too but I'm sure you'll be great at that. I'll talk to you later, good luck with your classes for this half.
