You Smell Funny
quote for the day
"You see things; and you say, 'Why?' But I dream things that never were; and I say, 'Why not?'"
"A lifetime of happiness! No man alive could bear it; it would be hell on earth. "
-- George Bernard Shaw
song of the moment
The Hand That Feeds
You're keeping in step
In the line
Got your chin held high and you feel just fine
Because you do
What you're told
But inside your heart it is black and it's hollow and it's cold

Just how deep do you believe?
Will you bite the hand that feeds?
Will you chew until it bleeds?
Can you get up off your knees?
Are you brave enough to see?
Do you want to change it?

What if this whole crusade's
A charade
And behind it all there's a price to be paid
For the blood
On which we dine
Justified in the name of the holy and the divine

Just how deep do you believe?
Will you bite the hand that feeds?
Will you chew until it bleeds?
Can you get up off your knees?
Are you brave enough to see?
Do you want to change it?

So naive
I keep holding on to what I want to believe
I can see
But I keep holding on and on and on and on

Will you bite the hand that feeds you?
Will you stay down on your knees?

SO, if you knew you were going to be stranded on a deserted island with only one thing, what would that one thing be?

Mine would be a little unconventional, but personally necessary I think. I would bring a capable man. Yeah, that's right. And not (just) for sex either. I would bring him for stereotypical things like hunting and builiding me a place to live. Because I know that there is no way in hell I could survive on a deserted all by myself. Which brings me to the point of my entry.

As a girl, there are just some luxuries I would hate to live without:

Listerine, my Venus razor, bottled water, face wash, books, my Hawaiian themed dishes. Chinese food (and Mexican and Italian), my cds, laptop, my comfy pants, my chapstick. Big earrings, my pictures, tea, trashy magazines, Jason's Deli, my car, Skintamate after shave gel. Lotion, q-tips, my huge assortment of writing utensils, my day-planner, a budget, Chi hair straighteners, my hairbrush, movies. My cell phone, the gym, basketball season, U2, my stuffed animals, shoes.

Yeah, and I can still think of more. It's amazing how I can change almost every aspect of my life accept for this one. I can for some reason not overcome my materialism. I mean, I could do just fine without most of these things, but I sure would be pissed about it. Hell, I did just fine before I had all the stuff. And anyone who is being completely honest with themselves would have to admit the same. People are just materialistic. Isn't that sadly amazing?!?

toilet paper!!!...i don't think i could do the whole leaf thing...i need good strong 3 ply toilet paper...oh yeahh! lol...besides that, i'm sure i could come up with a big list...including of course the girl...but along with me doing work, she'd also be doing work...none of this "oh he's a guy so he can do all the hunting, building blah blah blah"...no ma'am, she's doing it too!...along with that, you're forgetting tools! most importantly, nails, hammer, knife, and fishing gear...mehh i could go on forever...after the girl and toilet paper would definately be music coming in with a close third hahaha...but yes people are just materialistic, tis twue

yeah, i would need the guy to help me out moreso than do everything for me. i admit to not knowing how to build a hut out of nothing. but you can only bring one thing. which means either toilet paper or the girl. can't have both.

well of course i'd pick the girl...i was just listing some other things that would really be helpful...and i was just saying each person should help the other in all the things that needed to be done

Good news for Packer fans...
Favre's returning for the 2005 season and the Vikings no longer have one of the best Wide Receivers in Randy Moss...he was traded to the Raiders (bad news for the Broncos lol)
