quote for the day
"You see things; and you say, 'Why?' But I dream things that never were; and I say, 'Why not?'" "A lifetime of happiness! No man alive could bear it; it would be hell on earth. " -- George Bernard Shaw song of the moment
The Hand That Feeds You're keeping in step In the line Got your chin held high and you feel just fine Because you do What you're told But inside your heart it is black and it's hollow and it's cold Just how deep do you believe? Will you bite the hand that feeds? Will you chew until it bleeds? Can you get up off your knees? Are you brave enough to see? Do you want to change it? What if this whole crusade's A charade And behind it all there's a price to be paid For the blood On which we dine Justified in the name of the holy and the divine Just how deep do you believe? Will you bite the hand that feeds? Will you chew until it bleeds? Can you get up off your knees? Are you brave enough to see? Do you want to change it? So naive I keep holding on to what I want to believe I can see But I keep holding on and on and on and on Will you bite the hand that feeds you? Will you stay down on your knees? | what a life. 231th day of 2004; 9:47 AM mmmmm....life is good. Or at least not too bad. Let me see, I went to Melinda's birthday thing this weekend. That was pretty cool, minus the four hour drive. But I got to see Danny for the first time in forever and his coolness factor has risen. Sunday we headed back up here and Mom, Kevin and John M. helped me get all moved in. All my suite mates are pretty cool. Monday I ran around with my mom and went shopping and tried to unpack a little bit. We are waiting for our beds to be lofted before we can fully move in. And I need to buy a screwdriver. That night; Sarah, Shea and I went to 'casino night'. Can you say operation graduation with more raffle prizes? We got there about ten minutes before it was over though. So, we headed back toward the dorms and took a smoke break. There we picked up a lovely frat boy. He took us out to Bar X (ten in Roman numerals), bought us a couple beers and introduced us to more lovely frat boys. And that was pretty much Monday. I ran around and did errands for most of yesterday. Then, I headed to Salt Grass for Steve's birthday dinner. Everyone just hung out and had a good time. I headed back to the dorms around 10ish. Sarah showed up about 15 minutes after I did, so we went out to get smokes and cokes. Then we were invited to Jack's Pub with the Figi's. We went for a little while but decided it was too loud and obnoxious and left. We came to a mutual decision that bar-bars are better than club-bars and Kappa Sigmas are better than Figis. Moral of the story - college=endless opportunities to do crap. other moral of the story - most everyone is friendly and the guys are the coolest. ie - they love to just hang out with whomever whenever. but beware, most of the chics seem to have the need to wear frilly skirts, skanky shirts and high heels at all times. ___________________________________________________________________________ edit - haha, my first day of class tomorrow, and already one of my classes has been canceled. what does this mean? well, it mean no 3 hour lab tomorrow! yay! i only have class from 2:00 - 3:20. what an awesome first day! 5 Comments.
