quote for the day
"You see things; and you say, 'Why?' But I dream things that never were; and I say, 'Why not?'" "A lifetime of happiness! No man alive could bear it; it would be hell on earth. " -- George Bernard Shaw song of the moment
The Hand That Feeds You're keeping in step In the line Got your chin held high and you feel just fine Because you do What you're told But inside your heart it is black and it's hollow and it's cold Just how deep do you believe? Will you bite the hand that feeds? Will you chew until it bleeds? Can you get up off your knees? Are you brave enough to see? Do you want to change it? What if this whole crusade's A charade And behind it all there's a price to be paid For the blood On which we dine Justified in the name of the holy and the divine Just how deep do you believe? Will you bite the hand that feeds? Will you chew until it bleeds? Can you get up off your knees? Are you brave enough to see? Do you want to change it? So naive I keep holding on to what I want to believe I can see But I keep holding on and on and on and on Will you bite the hand that feeds you? Will you stay down on your knees? | Why, then the world's mine oyster, Monday. 6.21.04 11:14 am Which I with sword will open. yeah, that's right! so, another monday morning. blah....i have an at least 45 hour work week ahead of me, and already i am counting down the hours until i can sleep. (it's ~7 btw) and i still want to try to pick up some saturday hours. why, you ask. well, i am going home on saturday night for about two weeks. why, you ask again. well, i am going to vegas for a week, and my dad wants me to be around for a few days. so no workie for two weeks. which is a loss of a lot of cashmoneymoneycash. i had a surprisingly good weekend. on friday i went to carson's 1st birthday at nedley's. and i was not surprised that they chose a bar. so i partied for about five hours with all kinds of awesome people. i slept in on saturday and then went shopping with kevin and lindsey to prepare for mandatory father's day fun. the coolest storm rolled in while we were out. in less than twenty minutes the sky had gone from clear, bright blue to a very dark grey with low hanging clouds every where. it was awesome. and the rain drops were the absolute biggest i have ever seen! then we went to kev's and he started making ribs for sunday and i made chicken salad. the we had mandatory fun on sunday afternoon. i stayed there most of the day. then i went home and watched the entire first season of sex in the city. muy bien. and then it was this morning. so, in conclusion, i have a case of the mondays. but the motivating thought of the week is going home on saturday.if i can make it until then, i'll be ok. 4 Comments.
