Partly egged on by Aaron's own take on this I've decided to like, give it a go. Contrary to the case my Project Work team put out in our report, it's actually quite rare to see people my age blogging nowadays even though we are the supposed 'Net Generation', 'Gen Y who grew up in the noughties' and so on. Writing weblogs seem now to be something that only secondary school-going teenagers do. Before the advent of Facebook et al., It WAS a fad, and the chance to So what are the critical motivations that combine to keep me plugging away at the keyboard relentlessly over the past 5 years (and counting)? 1. TO REALLY EXPRESS MYSELF AWAY FROM THE GLARE OF OTHERS It's still quite amazing that not many of my friends know of the existence of this virtual outlet after a year or so. This unique set of circumstances does happily present me chances to pass on messages to friends which otherwise I cannot bring myself to tell them personally - and yet seem incoherent or random to those not in the loop. And to of course, share insights and photos that so many crave to see (: 2. FOR MEMORIES' SAKE, WHAT ELSE.. All the posts really bring back memories that will have otherwise been chucked aside in some forlorn corner of my conscience. I guess its sort of a time machine back to the past It also reminds me time and time again what a useless git I am when it comes to something. The fact that I'd never succeeded in it even til today bugs me still. And yesterday's events did nothing to bring me closer to the end point - It in fact only served to bring the finishing line even further away. 3. IT'S A PERSONAL THING, DUDE So that people whom I've met, past or present, can remember me by refreshing their jaded memories by going back to the period of time in which I interacted with them the most - and also for them to be able to follow me as I journey though the challenges and and reap the rewards that life have to offer. And I don't really care who reads this now, less probably MSD and ISB? Since I don't post any confidential information up here it should be alright I guess. Of course, it just does take only the briefest of sparks to get me going on.. and on.. and on about things. Almost all my friends have commented on the length of my posts at some point in time. I'm glad that my posts are as readable as they are long So what is YOUR reason for blogging? 0 Comments.
